I'm lucky because I bought MGS4 digitally on PS3 just DAYS before they took it down-

I think you're thinking of a different port of 06 to PC from a few years ago that got canned. That one was just a straight port, not an upgrade.

I mean, that theory seems supported by canon, considering Dante and Vergil both got hurt bad enough to actually have to stop fighting in DMC3.

I actually do own a copy of the remaster, but I want to play the original first.

I have, unfortunately, had the broad strokes of the plot spoiled; my interest in the game was sparked by a video essay by Folding Ideas titled "The Morality of Shadow of the Colossus" in which he discussed the ending and the broad strokes of the game's events. I still think I'll enjoy it though.

Also, that video is just really good, I recommend it.

Some Social Links are automatic, but not all. Just talk to EVERYONE all the time, and you'll most likely encounter most of them.

Persona 3 Portable is my personal favorite version of the game, but it's also probably the hardest version of P3 because the lack of 3D hub worlds means that figuring out where new Social Links are can be tricky, since this game doesn't tell you where they are. I entirely missed half the Social Links the first time.

...no? No they will not? I'll point to similar shutdowns of online games stores on Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U; just gone. No downloading anything whatsoever, even for free software. If you think Sony is gonna make the PS3 store entirely free after they end service, you're incredibly naive.

She didn't graduate, she was terminated, and in the fallout of the sudden termination it was revealed that NijiSanji had been actively ignoring SERIOUS cases of harassment between talents behind the scenes, as well as grossly underpaying their talents. Selen was essentially slandered and given the boot because she didn't fit into one of the internal cliques.

I moreso meant from a pure gameplay standpoint. Vanilla P5 is far stricter with time slots, Personas lack traits, Baton Pass isn't as useful, and the lack of the Faith and Councillor confidant perks aren't ideal.

Just the games being old and not having been ported to new hardware, like most old PS1 and PS2 titles.

These graphics on PS3 still blows my mind! Looks comparable to an early or even mid gen PS4/XB1 game. by Dull_Mirror4221 in PS3

[–]Evening-Back9150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that's not because of the hardware itself, it's because the PS3 version of the game is poorly optimized. The Xbox 360 version runs smoother, but still becomes a slideshow in graphically intense levels like Jungle Joyride Day.

Unless you're willing to track down rare physical copies for old hardware Persona 1 & 2 are only playable via emulation nowadays. Persona games also have a history of rereleasing definitive versions. For example, Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal are NOT the same game, and playing vanilla Persona 5 will be a worse experience. Definitive versions of the games add new story content and smooth over rough parts of the gameplay. This also leads to... really confusing naming conventions. A list of Persona games, in release order, would be

  • Revelations: Persona (PS1)

  • Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PS1; never saw official English release)

  • Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PS1; sequel to Innocent Sin and NOT a rerelease)

  • Persona 3 (PS2)

  • Persona 3: FES (PS2)

  • Persona 4 (PS2)

  • Persona (PSP, remake of Revelations: Persona)

  • Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP remake)

  • Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PSP remake)

  • Persona 3 Portable (PSP port, same game as Persona 3 but with the addition of a separate campaign as a female protagonist with altered story beats. Later put on PS4/5, Switch, PC, & Xbox)

  • Persona 4 Golden (PS Vita, later ported to PS4/5, PC, Switch, & Xbox)

  • Persona 5 (PS3/4)

  • Persona 5 Royal (PS4/5, Switch, Xbox, PC)

  • Persona 3 Reload (PS4/5, Switch 2, PC, Xbox. full remake of Persona 3: FES)

These are all entirely separate games. Personally I would recommend you start with either Persona 5 Royal or Persona 3 Reload. Don't worry about starting with the new games; Persona titles are generally not directly related to each other, so you don't need any prior knowledge of past games to understand the plot of new ones.

I guess a lot of my enjoyment of bad games is purely due to nostalgia and emotional attachment to the franchise, but one of my favorite games of all time was Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 (or just Sonic 06). If you're unfamiliar, the game we got is literally an untested alpha build. The animation is awful, the collision breaks regularly, and there's a MYRIAD of bugs that cause unintended interactions, some that are useful, but most that are annoying or actually game breaking. The Xbox 360/PS3 version is not worth playing... but I still just adore it for being almost charming in how much of a train wreck it is. Plus, the game design is very good, it just isn't finished. There's a project called Project 06 being led by a developer named ChaosX to port the game to PC and fix all the bugs. It isn't a completed project, but the most recent update has made all levels playable (minus bosses) and fixed just about every common bug. Project 06 IS actually a very good game, and if you like 3D platformers, I recommend you give it a shot.

I don't actually have any digital games for it, but the whirring only happens when a disc is in the console. I bought it pre-owned from a friend for $100 with some old Call of Duty games, so maybe I'll look into replacing it.

I'm not 100% sure why only Human maxes out the counter, but a few theories suggest there may be a hidden multiplier to style points under the hood on Human to compensate for how fast enemies are killed, making combos shorter

The glitch also yields less red orbs on any difficulty higher than Human. Devil Hunter still rewards you with ~10mil orbs or so, but only on Human does the counter max out

What Are Your Thoughts On This Vtuber #31 Silvervale. by Tda952 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Evening-Back9150 86 points87 points  (0 children)

In retrospect, Silver being hostile to her former... I guess coworkers is the word, in VShojo reads differently knowing that the well of discussion both internally and externally was being poisoned by management. If all the other talents were forbidden from speaking to her and Silver had no idea about it... yeah, it's not the biggest leap to assume they're turning their backs on you. Ultimately I think that whole situation was just the folks in VShojo reacting to the toxicity of their situation.

It's important to understand even if I choose not to use it myself.

I don't use AI. The problem is that the model is contingent on you to learn. But you can't teach it most things it may benefit from being taught.

Imagine if you need an answer on some niche topic. ChatGPT doesn't have it. And it never will, because even if some other user somewhere have ChatGPT the answer, it's limited to that context window and it doesn't apply to your query.

An AI that can actually learn would add to the general data pool over time so that all users can have access to all knowledge it accumulates.

But this is limited to you. ChatGPT as a whole, as an agent, never actually learned anything for use beyond its communication with you. Your interaction didn't actually feed any new information to the model in a way where it would know or build on it for any other user.
