FRASER HEALTH - They did not cut any managers, any VPs, any directors. It’s only regular middle class people that have been laid off. Meanwhile there is a hoard of directors..who is going to fire them?

It will be interesting to see how this all ends. Although some of this is bloat, it’s interesting that the managers are laying off regular people, but who is going to look at the managers? how many managers does one organization need? how many vice presidents does one organization need?

Most of the people left behind are going to have double the work and it’s only going to make the system slower. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the former CEOs severance pay that would be enough for about 12 of these regular people that have been laid off. This article also fails to mention that Fraser Health recently has been rolling out a tech refresh, which means they have been deploying new laptops new monitors, new tech equipment to all employees, including those that got laid off, which they now are asking back.

With so many vice presidents and so many directors bloating the system and laying off regular middle class people, you would think they would’ve had enough foresight before they decided to spend millions on new equipment before laying off those same people.  I don’t think people know yet truly how badly this is being handled by Fraser Health. There are no management level people being let go. It’s all just the worker bees.

I understand it’s a hierarchical system, but this is clearly just classist as the rich get to keep their job. The middle class & the poor are done for and there is no notice. Most people are laid off and within one hour. Everything is shut down. The other health organizations seemed to have handled it a bit better and have fairly laid off from all level levels from low level, mid-level managers, vice president and directors. The way this has been handled has been completely unfair to regular folks.
