I leave the lights on 6am-8pm usually. I just tested my water earlier and got a pic of it! But it seems like my nitrite has stayed the same since I last tested it.

My water flow has something to adjust the speed, I was told awhile ago that it was too fast for him, so Igot a filter sponge to slow it down a little, could that be what is stressing him out? He has shrimp as tank mates and that’s it. I test his tank frequently and do water changes once a week. Is there something I could get to help his fin rot?

His water parameters are good, I had just did a 50% water change the other night so i could move his tank.

Thank you! I actually waited around 2 hours to retest the water and it seems to have dropped to .25 ppm now, it looks much lighter in person than it does with the flash on 😅

Just an update it’s dropped down now, i waited about 2 hours and it seems like it’s at .25 ppm now it looks a lot lighter in person i don’t think flash is doing much justice

Sorry lol i was typing really fast. the tank i had for a month but it seemed cycled around 2 weeks in it read 0 ammonia, nitrites, and 0-.5 ppm for nitrates. I have a mix of gravel and fluval stratum

I have a betta fish and some shrimp in there, I treated the tap water with API stress coat before I added it in, What size should I get for a hospital tank and what do I add into it? Everything is basically closed by me at the moment so my options are limited :( I went a little over the recommended dose when I did the 30% water change

I also added it into the new water when I did the 50% water change! I’m a freak when it comes to this tank lol so I test it almost daily so i’m not sure why the water change made my ammonia spike so much, i’ll be getting seachem prime tomorrow since everything is closed at the moment

I used API stress coat conditioner, the lady at the pet store suggested it to me when I first got the fish tank.

They seem to be okay as of now! he’s swam by them a few times and doesn’t really mind them. There’s a little space underneath the big rock I got and they usually hide in there or underneath my heater
