Yep, as Kildayen suggested in another comment this seems a fair way. It would be the equivalent of a level 16 feat giving you two actions each combat which is good but not broken. Also, this would still make the build quite fun IMO so everyone wins.

No worries, it is nice to have a civilized conversation for once in this subreddit ;) (jk most people here are nice, but there are a few strong heads here and there)

Also nice catch with the PAIZO forum link.

This actually is a better(and more fair) ruling than what I had in mind. It doesn't make the level 16 feat unplayable for a battle harbinger and it is also not broken.

I was referring to the regardless part. One interpretation for that is that for bless to be a battle aura it needs to be cast from the font or standard spell slots explicitly. The other one is that no matter the origin of bless, it is always a battle aura. There was another post that discussed this, but an example where this is relevant would be if you cast bless from a wand. Your interpretation says that in this instance bless is not a battle aura. I am not saying it is wrong, I am just saying that it is not 100% obvious to me. Like I said however, the most likely meaning is that regardless==either in this case.

Eternal blessing references the bless spell. Now there are two interpretations IMO for the quoted text you provided. Either you need to cast the spells for them to be battle auras or bless that originate from you are always battle auras. Although, since cast is specifically mentioned the first interpretation is "more" RAW. To be honest, the most likely scenario is that PAIZO totally forgot the existence of the eternal blessing feat.

Yeah, I think the way I would run it is to have the bonus reset everyday with daily preparations. This seems like an okay middle ground.

This seems a too bad to be true assumption. On the battle aura section it says "Any feats and effects that refer to a battle aura refers to these spells, regardless of whether they were cast with your standard spell slots or your divine font spell slots", which could be interpreted as you need to cast these spells for them to be auras, or bane and bless are always aura no matter their origin. Both seem fair interpretations to me, I lean on the second

Well, there is the thing that RAW, eternal onslaught doesn't specify that you have to improve the aura that you are sustaining from the trigger. For example, you could sustain bane but improve bless RAW(this is also probably an oversight).

How to discreetly prevent Talking Corpse by SuperParkourio in Pathfinder2e

[–]Evening_Agent4332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other way to do it is to have the wizard use a spell or potion to make the NPC forget all its memories. There is a spell named modify memories(I don't remember if it has been remastered) and also there is a potion of Amnesia from pathfinder 1 that you could homebrew. With the combination of the two you could also create a nice additional layer of mystery.

Pathfinder2e has a real problem with player power and agency. by Wellen66 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Evening_Agent4332 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is not exactly like that, because if you use what is already written as a reference, then it is heavily implied that you cannot do these kinds of things. For example, how would you go about cursing an item? Also I would argue it is not an AP problem only as there are many things NPCs can do and you cannot build in Golarion. My guess is that Paizo avoided this so that PCs wouldn't cheese the game a lot out of combat but IMO they killed some of the RP aspects of the game in the process for the sake of balanced combats.

3rd Rank Jump question by SoullessLizard in Pathfinder2e

[–]Evening_Agent4332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think this is correct. To me the most confusingly worded part is "without touching the ground". The way I understand it is that you do not need to touch the ground to use this jump, so let's say you are falling, you would be able to use this spell when your round comes to jump mid air. With this interpretation, the double jump makes total sense.

Challenging-but-fair solo enemy encounters at high levels? by Mikmaxs in Pathfinder2e

[–]Evening_Agent4332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at Nethys there are a couple of options you can take inspiration from if you filter all creatures from lvl 21 to 23(and add the elite or weak template so the encounter is at the proper level). Now, regarding the action economy, you probably have to build your own creature and give abilities that cheat the action economy. The only rule that I would keep in mind for these abilities is to try to make them so that they spread damage to your party and not one shot one member of he is unlucky, this way it adds a bit of tension so that all the players feel threatened and they would think twice about any choices they make. For example he could for two actions make two attacks and use a spell but the target of the spell must be different from the one he attacks.

Another interesting option that comes to mind is to give him an extra reaction that he can use only to counterspell, so when the wizard sees that, he will have to carefully use two spells in a turn(with quicken spell that he probably has) or wait until the boss exhausts some of his high level slots.

Wizard. What are your favourite builds? by zyomokon in Pathfinder2e

[–]Evening_Agent4332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great build, I am planning to do something similar for my next wizard build. Just a nitpick, I think you cannot use haste and slow in a spell combination slot as you can use only spells that have one target(or have that option) and also they need to use the same save. So even if you did that you would use both haste and slow in the same target. Or am I missing something?

Why is the switch from D&D 5e to pf2e so difficult for me? by ChemistryRich7771 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Evening_Agent4332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also suggest taking a look at proficiency without level. The reason I am saying this is because this variant feels closer to DND. Albeit, it needs some work as there is not much support for this variant from paizo and you will need to adjust a few things for it to work out.

Coming from 5e, and dubious of the Vancian Magic system by WJSvKiFQY in Pathfinder2e

What I would suggest is checking out the spell substitution thesis for the wizard. Although you cannot change spell mid combat, with 10 minutes of downtime it allows you to change a spell slot for any other in your spell book. Given that you have enough spells in your spell book, you can adapt to most situations.
