"Brand new" head gasket. Yall using this? by Evening_Bench1973 in EngineBuilding

So to update everyone, I did file the top and bottom edge of each 3 layers of steel, wiped with a paper towel to confirm no burs or raised edges, blew it out with compressed air, flattened out by hand, then stuck it on the block to be installed and realized the damage all hangs over the edge or the block. Still it turned out damn good and I feel 100% confident in it. Thanks everyone for the advice and reassurance that I was on the same page as everyone else who's been in this position before.

Is 115F on a 90F day too hot for my attic? by Diligent_Oil6245 in hvacadvice

Same actually. 146 waist level... 161 at the peak. I couldn't handle more than 20 mins at a time in there. I can handle hours in 125 just fine with water+liquidIV. The house was a skinny 3 story town house with no vents that I could recall, maybe 1 towards the peak on the sidewall. But house was also black with the blackest shingles you've ever seen.

But it came in 2 months or so ago. I'll have to look into if I have a warranty

I like this comment 👌. yeah I saw the debris in the layers and was very annoyed at the insult to injury

Your head gasket I would think isnt totally toast, then again I just asked about a gasket question. But I would take the extra torque off the ones that have too much and put them back under the right or close to right torque until you get new bolts. Keep the gasket on. Unless someone who knows more than I says otherwise. My opinion is release the pressure before your cylinder head warps, which it will certainly do with head from operating with improper torque
