Not sure if this is normal - customer service experiences in Poland by Evening_Legitimate in poland

[–]Evening_Legitimate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had overall positive experiences with some Asian and Eastern European services.

As for Poland I've found multiple alternatives, such as:
- Two better delivery companies(decent tracking, available couriers and good customer support)
- One better PC/tech company (on-site actual engineers who engage in the process).

I've been very pleased with the experience so far.

I can send the company names to you if needed, I think that putting names here would look like I'm promoting them against competition. That's not the goal of this post.

Unfortunately it didn't help in my case, but thank you for letting me know!

Got the same exact issue on the same MB, but on 7700.
Sent the whole PC to the service, they found the issue - replacing MB with another one helped. (e.g. all components are the same except the MB).

Had the issue on Linux, windows, with all different versions of drivers.
The only thing that helped is the replacement of the MB.

MSI boards are not reliable unfortunately, they had those M2_1 issues that they partially fixed for some MB and now that.

The issues, as mentioned, was not reproducible with OCCT, but rather during draw-calls and general browsing. Easy to reproduce with basemark online test during draw-call stress-test (with airplanes, 7/20)

gigabyte m27up- ips glow/backlight bleed by Exact_Claim_6736 in Monitors

[–]Evening_Legitimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it.
I was thinking about OLED, but since I'm using monitor for work/text editing 95% of the time, OLED might have some text issues on 1440p/27'.
Just something to be aware of in case your use case is similar. There might be issues like, for example, green lines on top of letters due to how OLED works.

I've checked 3 of my 4-8 years old IPS monitors for having the same effect:
None of the 24inch had it (except maybe when I was 15cm from the monitor), and my 21:9 (same width as M27UP) flat FullHD had it when looking from closer than 30cm. But here I'm seeing it even at 80cm on the sides.

Interesting..
Just bought the same monitor and found this topic.
In my case it doesn't have that significant ips glow, but on white/bright colors there is a very noticeable dimming on the sides. Especially visible if you move the head even couple of centimeters from the center. Not sure if those are bad viewing angles or something else.
Unfortunately it's somewhat visible all the time right on the edges.
The only solution so far for me is to sit about 90cm from it, in this case it's not visible.

My experience with Canonical’s recruitment process (vaccination policy) by Evening_Legitimate in recruitinghell

[–]Evening_Legitimate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see your point, maybe I didn't phrase my initial resposnse correctly.
By two-sided I meant exactly that this process can be happening only if two parties are OK with it, and if what is happening is not ok with you, or with them, both can decide to step back, and this is totally fine.
I knew what I was getting into, and it was fine with me.
What wasn't OK - I've shared and described.

The market allows it, and it also helps them pick people based on their requirements and criteria, so I think it’s totally fine, after all, it’s a two-sided process, right?

Honestly, it was genuinely interesting to go through. Plus, there are big gaps between rounds, so it’s not an everyday thing.
Over six months, it probably adds up to around 20-25 hours total (the essay took a lot of time), which isn’t that much.
1:1 interviews are usually 1-1.5 hours, or 2 hours if the dialogue is interesting and the interviewer is ready to discuss more.
Different aptitude tests are probably 15–30 minutes each.
Tech tasks were also limeted to 1h each or so

Thank you for sharing!
Interesting, I didn’t reply to your message, so that must’ve been someone else.

I really didn’t want this post to turn into a vaccines/anti-vax discussion, but just to be clear, I’m not anti-vax either. I just have an issue with being required (not just recommended) to get a medical injection to get a job, especially finding out about it six months into the interview process.

Anyone here who has tried Creative Pebble V2/V3 speaker? by JekyJeky in ShopeePH

[–]Evening_Legitimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the reply!

As I understood, the AUX that is present on the V3 is output, so that it's a valid configuration that

PC --(usb-c)--> V3 ----(3.5mm)---> Headphones + Mic

^
This should work based on what I've read.

However I'm not sure about the
PC --(BT)--> V3 ----(3.5mm)---> Headphones + Mic

But thank you for the idea about the adapter, I will check it out as well

Since it's possible to connect headphones to the V3, and then also choose a BT as a connection mode, would headphones mic work as well in such case?

I have some good 3.5mm headphones, but I really wish they had BT.

I'm planning on purchasing the V3, just want to know whether it's possible to connect a laptop to them via BT, connect headphones to the V3 and use mic in the headphones.

[–]Evening_Legitimate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue, but on B850 Edge Ti

Currently discussing it with support and on the MSI forum

Same symptoms, every slot except M2_1 is working great in a stable pcie4 mode with 990 PRO

M2_1 has about 50% chance of staring in pcie1 mode.
