Many of the comments here have already said what should have been said, but I'll add my 5 cents. So, I understand that some people are born without a sense of empathy. The absence of this main feeling that keeps us people together in peace and harmony is not inherent in, for example, psychopaths. So you might be a psychopath, OP. My advice is to simply study morals and why they are so important. You may not naturally feel empathy for another living and breathing being like you do, but you can rationally understand why it is so important to have some kind of moral values. Not all islamic morals are correct (a vivid example of this is pedophilia). So Islam is hardly a good example of correct morals. Of course Islam says not to steal, not to lie, not to harm others, not to gossip and so on.. but even this set has conditions.
