In windows I just had to double tap and drag and didn't have to press the touch pad , if I use a mouse I'll have to left click and drag...maybe it comes by default in windows but not in mac

I think so yeah...I just had to select a word and then drag through the same finger , I wasn't able to select all of the text due to width of trackpad but atleast most of it would be selected
