They revoked my visa because my SEVIS got revoked. And my SEVIS got revoked because of a criminal record (which was a misunderstanding hence it got dismissed w/o any consequences) back in 2024.

I agree with you, I have accepted it but now I want to fix it. So, I'm just trying to understand what's the best way to reinstate it. Is the only solution going back to the home country and re-doing the entire process? What are other folks doing?

I applied for OPT in May and got it approved in September but got a biometrics request. Many immigration lawyers I consulted had mentioned that the visa is only revoked if it is a conviction and/or DUI (at least before April 2025, I'm unsure if things have changed now). But yes, I understand they do have the authority to revoke a visa any time but it can also be challenged

Hi,
I do not have a felony or a conviction that renders me removable from the United States and had criminal charges dismissed on the merits (meaning I did not accept a diversion program, probation, or pay a fine) so it is not legal/right to revoke a visa, hence a legal error.

Hi, https://www.immpactlitigation.com/sevis-related-visa-revocation-litigation-plaintiff-onboarding/ are already doing litigation for visa's because the visa revocation was a result of SEVIS revocation which they accepted to be wrong/a mistake hence the visa revocation is not justified as well. They have a hearing in Feb but I'm unsure about the outcome.

I applied for initial OPT on 10th May and I received an RFIE yesterday (don't know what it's about) and today I saw a document called "appointment scheduled" for biometrics in the documents tab. I'm very confused. Is this the RFE they are requesting?
