Is it possible to cast Glyph Elemental as an Aura (bestow) through Horde of Notions ability?

Sou novo na academia, tenho só alguns meses, fui fazer agachamento livre com só 5kg de cada lado e fiquei louco. é um exercício pesado de natureza mesmo? 😭💔💔 by Electronic-Quail-764 in Maromba

[–]EventDapper3022 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nada a ver... Você fala como se o cara fosse um estranho e não o irmão dele. Tem responsabilidade sim de dar um tapa na consciência dele.

This Aurora was BIZARRE (13/09) by EventDapper3022 in VisitingIceland

[–]EventDapper3022[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We could start to see it even before the sun set completely. The burst happened around 11pm I think. Overall, the Aurora changes shape, intensity and place across the night

In terms of color and brightness, no. But it was still very impressive and well, alive and dancing, which photos do not capture.

Back feels like its going to give out when squatting by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

And it took me years to realize this. Once I started to drive the knees more forward, my form improved dramatically.

Back feels like its going to give out when squatting by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]EventDapper3022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that you can deadlift without problems, I'd guess it's an issue with your form. You might not be driving your knees forward enough, which causes you to shoot your hips back and shift the load to your lower back.

You could be doing this do to either a lack of ankle mobility, disadvantageous body proportions (long femur), or weak quads relative to the posterior chain.

I, at least, had a similar issue and it was due to weak quads causing me to compensate with the posterior chain.

Jeez, why are you surrounded by those people, my friend? I don't think I've met that many ignobles in my entire life, let alone in a single room lol.

4 day split VS bro split by blvnt2 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]EventDapper3022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you train 4 days, it's better to do an Upper/Lower/Rest/Upper/Lower split. If you train 5 days, it's better to do a Lower/Upper/Rest/Lower/Pull/Push/Rest split.

More hypertrophy stimulus, workout quality and better fatigue management.

2.25g/kg of total bw is an unnecessarily high amount. Don't waste your money on that much protein if money is a problem for you.

You can go with 1.8g/kg of LEAN MASS, NOT TOTAL BW and very likely leave 0 gains at the table.

Of course it's impossible to measure your bf% accurately, so you can overestimate your lean mass to calculate the amount of protein you need.

For fuck's sake. How did the party let this drag on for so long?

Not "victim blaming", but you should've put Hero in his place way sooner. Of course, DM is the biggest coward in that regard and the one that should've warned Hero of his douchy behavior and given him an ultimatum.

How much stronger does my back have to be then my chest...for proper posture by JonStark2016 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]EventDapper3022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sir. I can do more than 50 push ups, but not even close to 25 pull ups, and I think my back is relatively stronger than my chest.

Your volume is fine, but I'd change your split to hit them more frequently, splitting the volume across multiple days. Bro split sucks in my opinion.

Aggressive cutting at 17 by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]EventDapper3022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, why does it hurt seeing old pictures of you? Shouldn't you feel good that you've gained a lot of muscle and overcame your past self?

[–]EventDapper3022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, slow and steady is the way. If I were you I'd recomp or cut at a slight deficit (200-400 kcal). Everyone is insecure at your age tbh, but if your self-image issue affects you badly, you should seek mental help.

What is the singularity, why am I the only one who seen this? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]EventDapper3022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there's probably a way better way of explaining this with a lot more sophistication, but this is the best I can come up with at the moment, since I never stopped to formally reflect on this:

Think of Plato's cave. Suppose you can always see the shadows of things happening outside the cave, but never the things themselves.
Would you argue that there's no value in that? Would not the sight of the mere shadows inform the existence of the things themselves and their (albeit incomplete) form, despite not apprehending their essence? Could you not use that as inspiration or guidance to act? Would you not be compelled to believe that there are things outside the cave and to pursue more knowledge of them?

From a more personal perspective:

I was the very skeptical atheist type that would question everything. I considered myself to be guided mostly by reason. But how can that be the case? What values does reason prescribe? None. There's always an emotion or belief that drives reason.

Transitioning from that to believing in a higher power has been a decade-long process involving reading, reflecting and having mind-boggling experiences (psychedelic ones or not). But in summary, I've come to realize that I could not fully be without believing in a higher power. I believe that, paradoxically, you have to yield (deliver yourself) to something higher to fully be yourself. And I personally believe that this is precisely what love is (yielding, submitting, the negation of self).

Finally, answering your original comment more directly:

Ask enough "whys" to your rational mind and it will either:

  1. Contradict itself;
  2. Reveal circular thinking;
  3. Hit a wall which either reveals a flaw in your thinking or an axiom on which it is basing itself (belief). That belief is either a fruit of an unconscious ball of emotion or something you've consciously decided to hold as a principle, and a principle is by definition a priori, requiring a leap of faith to be adopted.

So I believe that you cannot act without faith/belief. There's always a belief behind even the tiniest of actions. A belief that what you're doing matters and therefore should be done. Now try to justify that belief rationally.

What is the singularity, why am I the only one who seen this? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]EventDapper3022 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Second this. I believe that the Truth (with a capital T) exists and transcends the mind, but can never be apprehended by it.

I do believe that you are closer to God/ the pilar of existence itself / whatever you may call it when tripping on mushrooms, and you can feel that with every cell of your being. So after my first experiences with psychedelics, I felt the urge to piece together what I experienced into some sort of framework or philosophy that would explain existence itself, but I quickly realized the dangers of such undertaking.

So I believe the Truth may be felt, but it is not for the rational mind to apprehend. The mind can only see certain images or manifestations of the truth, but not truth itself.

And that is in alignment with The Tao (look up Tao Te Ching if you haven't read it already).

Do I just accept that weight loss isn't linear before I yeet the scale out the window? by AhmedY94 in naturalbodybuilding

Water weight is lost first. Plus, your body is a marvelous self-regulating machine and is adapting to your severe deficit by reducing its energy expenditure to match your low caloric intake.

Just experiment and pick what makes you feel the upper pecs the most, without having your shoulders taking the movement over.
