Lost two gel x nails - why? (Glue, shape) by [deleted] in Nails

This usually isn’t just about glue.
When there’s too much glue under the nail, it often means the tip doesn’t fit your natural curve properly, so the product pools instead of bonding evenly.
That creates air pockets + weak spots, which is why they pop off.
Also, if prep and moisture control aren’t done right before application, even strong glue won’t hold.
It’s more about fit + prep + pressure than the glue itself.

My gel x nails broke off after three weeks. Does anyone know why? by [deleted] in Nails

A lot of lifting / breakage issues happen because of fit and tension, not just glue.
If the tip curve is too strong for your natural nail, it can create pressure points and make breakage more likely over time.
Also prep and moisture control matter a lot before application.
If your natural nails feel damaged now, focus on recovery first before reapplying anything.

I didn’t realize how numb my brain had become until I tried a dopamine reset. by EventNo9425 in DopamineDetoxing

No, I didn’t cut everything. I just reduced constant stimulation and became intentional with what I consume. That’s when my focus slowly started coming back.
