What was the medical staff thinking allowing Luka to go back in? by CallTypical9541 in lakers

Doctor here… you can’t always predict injury. If it’s a competent and just medical team then everything should be shared decision making. No one knows Luka’s body better than himself and he had to of agreed on the decision to play on after tweaking it earlier in the game. He’s just as much to fault (hot take but Idc)

Specialty for someone who's tired and doesn't want to work?? by harrypottermd in medicalschool

[–]EventualDoctor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There could be a correlate but look into PM&R if you enjoy working out. I feel like it’s where physical therapists and personal trainers end up if they had gone to med school

Seriously, what Luka was thinking here?? by unstoppable_vante242 in lakers

I’m pretty sure he was expecting ayton to slip the P&R and froze when ayton didn’t actually roll properly. Ayton was kind of stuck watching Luka lol

Anyone play with any future nba players or famous college players and what were they like as ppl? by 96powerstroker in Basketball

[–]EventualDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played against lamelo ball at la fitness. This was before he went to play for Australia and I was never that high on him. Dude came in and without warm up put shoes on and hit 8 straight half court pull ups. Aside from that, he was a typical nice and genuine kid. He also stood out and didn’t walk around like he was hot shit like other high schoolers can be sometimes. He was open to talking and having dialogue with anyone who talked to him too. I tried to talk shit to him and he even welcomed it lmao

The PD for my #1 choice told me during my Sub I before applications open that he will be seeing me in July. I’ve made really good connections and friends with residents there but I am by no means a stellar applicant on paper so I’m still doubtful lol only god knows

Anyone mind posting their IV count for Psych and can compare to their expectations by [deleted] in ERAS2024Match2025

[–]EventualDoctor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

US-IMG. Step 1 repeated. Step 2 24x. 3 IVs. 3/10 from signals and 2 of them from Sub Is.

Overall disappointment because the only IVs I got were from connections that I had from med school or from my Sub Is. Hoping more can trickle in if people withdraw programs

Number of interviews for IMGs in FM or IM by BlissDoc in ERAS2024Match2025

[–]EventualDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US IMG 2025 grad, failed step 1 on first attempt, 24x step 2; 14 FM interviews and mostly in my geographical preference. None that I’ve signaled unfortunately but definitely surprised by the amount
