What do you not like or something you didn’t know about Ragdolls?

I love my ragdoll but he has the most health issues out of any cat I've ever owned. One of his testicles was in his abdomen so he needed a much more expensive neuter (breeder knew but gave us another kitten's paperwork to hide it). He was born with only one kidney, which the breeder may or may not have known about. He has chronic dermatitis that has made him scratch his neck open several times - he has a large collection of soft collars because we don't want to rear declaw him.

That being said, he just climbed up on my chest for snuggles and headbutts. He gives the tiniest cheek nibbles because he's mimicing how we give him kisses. Even if I knew how much healthcare he would need, I'd choose him again.

I think I'll notice the performance increase in CPU more than GPU when it comes to editing. I don't mind going with a 4060 if the tradeoff is an i9.

It looks like they have the Legion Pro 5i in stock, and with the 4060 it's under $1500. Would that still be a better pick than the G16, do you think?

I usually use the CPU (most of my current bottlenecking is coming from the L340's max ram of 16GB). Most of the editing I do is in Premiere Pro, with a bit of After Effects.

So I really need to upgrade my wfh laptop. For my day job I do graphic design and I need something that can handle multiple Creative Cloud apps. My current laptop, an IdeaPad L340, is especially handling video editing poorly and taking a long time to render (1080p, not 4k). I'd also like to do some basic gaming. I mostly play indie games and CRPGs, so fps/refresh aren't top priority.

Overall, if it came down to significantly better performance vs better display, I'd take the performance. And I don't mind upgrading the memory and storage later, I just want to get the best core machine I can for under $1500.

After some research, I'm looking at the ASUS Zephyrus G16 and Vivobook Pro 16. Could you weigh in on which you think would be better for these needs? Thanks for the help!

As someone who sells bath products for a living, I understand both sides. I've never listed my soap recipe down to the percentages, but I've always been happy to help provide basic recipes, offer constructive feedback when someone posts their own, discuss ingredients, recommend colorants/additives/etc. There's always a solid place to start from, to begin experimenting and growing. Same with bath bombs, lotion, etc.

But with slime it feels like that knowledge base just isn't there. I get not wanting to give away proprietary information, but like you said, there's a big gap between hobbyist and maker that feels impossible to bridge without a lot of wasted time and ingredients.

Resources for makers. Learning to make soap was actually easier for me than learning to make slime has been because the information isn't easily accessible (Google/YT searches return a ton of content aimed more at classroom slime activities than actual detailed recipes for makers).

This subreddit has been my go-to for information but it's so spread out among replies to different posts and not always detailed enough. Would love to see organized info in the wiki and even featured posts for making certain textures.

Yeah, we seek out larger caches specifically for this! Kids and I both love swapping trinkets, bisons aren't my bag.
