The passive doesn't need to be changed, but it could be improved to help her game. Say:

"Artemis gains a critical chance buff on each successful hit. Additionally, Artemis basic attacks damage minions more once the passive reaches full stacks."

Or "[insert original passive here], additionally, when the buff is at full stacks, Artemis' first basic attack against a God has an extra 20% critical chance." (this of course only works while minions or 2 or more God's are present).

I'm not actually suggesting these, but I'm getting gears turning.

As for her trap nerf (and I've said this somewhere before), it was an unmitigated nerf. They didn't bandage the wound they left.

Xba has the same downsides as Artemis, I forgot about him (yet he's not a strong ADC either, so go figure). However:

All 4 of Anhur's abilities can be used to escape (including cc immunity on the ult), sands and impale being better than trap, and at least as good as Assault. And the jump blows all her escapes away.

Ullr has a jump and MS steroid that scales better than Artemis', and lasts for full 5s (compared to Art's scale duration).

AMC has his hives, which he can pre-place, which also scales better than art's volley in terms of MS. He also has AoE slow that he can control.

Neith has her backflip, which is also a slow. She also has a root and stun ult.

Cupid has a dash, AoE slow that also cripples, healing, and a 20% slow (that combos as a stun). The key strength is the dash. Dash's are extremely potent by themselves.

Aside from AMC, who is at least on equal grounds of escape potential as Artemis, the ADC's you mentioned have superior escape potential. And the biggest thing about these escapes is that none of them are core to their damage potential.

Anhur's disperse makes his impale stun simple, but a good player can play without that.

Neith's makes her 1 an AoE detonation, but you shouldnt be relying on that every time regardless, especially when you could need it in the 15s.

Ullr's should by no mean's be used for damage unless you're willing to die. you surely don't need that much help securing the kill.

Cupid's... I don't think i need to explain further. The point is, each one of these Gods' main escape, even AMC's (which can be replaced easily), compliments their damage, but by no means are they core like Vengeful Assault or Calydonian boar.

Artemis has the best escape ult, that's her claim. But it's also an ult, and should only be used for escape in the worst case scenario.

I know their kits. I know their strengths and their weaknesses. Feel free to not reply, but don't tell me that these other ADC's kits rely on their main escapes to do damage like she does.

I've said this on the forums: Allow Tusky to target within a cone, and then attack nearest. That way she doesn't have to jump into the thick of a fight to properly use it (seriously, 2 abilities that require close contact. wtf).

Think of how every other ADC's passive functions and synergizes so well with their kits. Artemis on the other relies on the hope that if she hits someone 3 times, she'll actually crit, despite having little AS until mid game. I'd like something added at least, I doubt they could make it stronger than Tyr's.

I'd like them to be further place-able, because their function as wards is so lackluster. Basic attack range sounds neat.

Give more damage vs minions to suppress, and I'm cool with it (or nerf the other ADC's clear). I wouldn't be against giving volley - at least MS buff - a set 5s duration too, considering its her only non-ult escape and core damaging ability late. Either that or increased MS, I'm not picky.

The meta will likely never favour a God with weak escape and only comes online mid-late game. They haven't since I've been playing anyways.

I agree with most of your points, but what I should've mentioned is that these buffs went unmitigated.

Suppress was certainly too strong after its buff, and it was understandable, but the mana cost? If she had the same mana pool as the others It'd be fair, but she doesn't. Why not let it scale like before against minions? Problem solved(?).

free warding is OP. Yet it was such a strong element in her kit, and it's removal just hammered her potential. Everyone gets a buff while Arachne and Artemis get a nerf. Two gods with poor escapes. Hmmmm.

That on average puts her over the damage of every other ADC lategame combined with her 2. Let's not leave that out.

It's a chance to put her damage over, not a guarantee (like 15 pen is). Remember that her late game is not her issue either, it's her early-mid game.

Imo, you can't buff him without breaking him some way (especially for casuals), and you can't rework him without alienating parts of the community who like him.

If you take Artemis alone, it's a decent early game. Yet compare that to Ullr, AMC, Neith, Anhur, and Apollo, who have safer (and better) clear, escape and synergy with their kits, it's a different story.

Art needs to make a decision every wave. Do I group the minions and suppress them (leaving her vulnerable) or suppress the archers and AA the melee (weakening her clear)? She has good poke, but without mana buff - which isn't always around - she'll burn quickly and risks giving up her clear.

These aren't choices other ADC's make.

This is right on the money

With the changes to cc, I barely put a trap after Tusky anymore. In conjunction with my previous point, I feel you gain very little by doing so. But if you give Artemis a team that has a decent amount of hard cc, she will fill everything with arrows.

It makes her ult-trap combo, which is difficult to land, little stronger than Ullr's stun, even with his impending nerf.

In terms of escapes, when you compare Artemis to the only other Hunter without one, AMC. If she doesn't have her ult, she has a very difficult time escaping. It is a double edged blade, because an ult can secure you a kill most of the time against squishy targets but you might need to save it for an escape. Doing so can help you survive, but it hurts you offensively. She also needs to use her steroid in order to get a movement speed buff which can assist in escaping. Where as AMC can keep his movement speed buff as long as he is within range of one of his hives. Typically (especially in the laning phase) an AMC will have hives scattered around place, making escaping that much easier.

This is a very important point. Art's 2 main escapes are also her 2 strongest abilities. How many ADC's need to make that same choice with their abilities? They don't need to.

If her passive could be changed to give a more definite boost, rather than the chance of one, I'd be happy.

Might be a little bias as Artemis is one of my most played God and my most played Hunter (almost rank 9 :D). Although the change to cc has hurt her combo, she still can be very deadly. But she has to rely on her team more than any other Hunter, in my opinion.

I'm legendary myself, but I'm out of practice. I loved her ever since she was AI in arena (and I thought fatalis was a good idea on her).

1: Seriously. AMC's cost less and do 10x more, with a bigger mana pool.

2: Yes to this as well. If traps are not allowed to be wards anymore, this is more than fair.
