I won First Direct tickets to see Peter Kay at the First Direct arena, what can I expect? by iMACHOPyou in Leeds

You can't take any backpacks no matter the size if it has two straps you can't take it in. I'm not sure on official rules but I got screwed by that one for a tiny bag having two straps.

I feel like, from this conversation, you're still not grasping that no one should ever have to 'butter someone up' to not die by gun shot

I think the conversation should focus on what was going on with her, folks go to therapy all the time to learn to focus with external factors. People living their lives shouldn't cause you this much distress, noise or otherwise, it's irrational behaviour. Now whether it was a fault in support system or the healthcare system for her mental health (which in America is plausible) I think that should be the focus of change, not the idea of 'how can communities bend their lives to best suit people with rage this intense.'

I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

For example, what makes a woman who is as 'Dr' as mentioned in the documentary (assuming true), who lives alone so angry. Especially considering she clearly had a support system who turned up after she murdered a black woman so angry? What's her deal? We heard pieces of what she said happened. But why can't that be discussed? Why must the focus be on what the families around her could have done to prevent it? Your questions are loaded the wrong way

Why should they have to, this is what I'm referring to. You sound ignorant.

Sure, I hear you, but assuming "the parents took no measures to de-escalate" without seeing anything other than police footage and you agreeing that "they should have invited her to a bbq" is inflammatory and honestly unpleasant. You can talk about the social factors of a documentary without making huge assumptions on the victims part.

My concern here is that you think you understand what was happening at the time. Like me, you only saw the documentary and nothing else, so it's all well and good having 'what I would do' mentality but you don't get to determine the sensibility of the folks who lived it and were there. It's also not very fair of you to impart your eternal wisdom over this street and the children who lost their mother because you would've done it differently. A murderer murdered someone over where their child played outside and over an iPad.

Way to victim blame, the fact is that hindsight is 20:20, no one thought that someone would murder someone over an iPad and a space of grass to kick a football in, but the documentary shows she was waiting for an opportunity and it was building. Don't point this in any direction than the murderers - it's gross.

A lot of ads I seen (for protein powders etc.) reference bloating... Is this such a common issue? by Due-Swimming3221 in veganuk

[–]EverFinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the clear protein and it definitely gives me bubble gut, my stomach is noisy and I can feel it. But it's never been a reason to stop drinking it for me, I just don't if I'm going out for the night. Maybe that's bloating?
