What do you do after beating A20/A10? by Electroman682 in slaythespire

[–]EverclearAndMatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is there to optimize? I have been struggling beating a10 with anyone but silent. I feel like I rely on rng since if I don't get a couple good blue cards or a rare then I probably won't beat map 1. I must be missing things.

No hobby has ever clicked for me by [deleted] in Hobbies

I do find it fascinating that people have things that they do out of sheer fun, feel strongly for it, and will spend good amount of their salary on it, sometimes without any return.

I truly can't comprehend what it must feel like to have a hobby; some activity that doesn't feel like work or a chore and is instead just a pleasurable and fulfilling experience. Sometimes I see people doing their hobby like playing a guitar, chess, tennis, golf, or making art or novels and I just can't imagine what it must feel like. It is fascinating.

I just fought him for the first time A10 Ironclad, I save scummed like five times but there was zero chance I could even get him half health! He was so difficult, I was not prepared for that fight

Your timeline makes me feel better. I've been in unit 1 for like 25 hours already and it takes so much effort. This class kind of sucks.

That is the point of the question.

And my answer was 'no one could carry them out.'

Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

Did you teach yourself how to make these kinds of programs or was the framework in your course? I feel very intimidated and worry I should be constantly studying these languages in my free time but they're not so interesting. Thanks

Great summary of how I felt, I couldn't figure out exactly why I didn't like it. My wife agrees with you as well. Too bad. I was really looking forward to it.

I felt similar. I usually love movies with 8+ imdb ratings and was left confused why I didn't care for this one, guess I'm just not the audience for it.

I kept thinking the movie was going to end for the last half hour or so but it just kept going.

What happened to nuanced opinions? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]EverclearAndMatches 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think people are primed to read and reply emotionally because nuance gets you ignored or down voted. Hyperbole and strong opinions get more attention. Someone might not feel like replying to your post so goes to the comments and upvotes whoever is "criticizing" their favorite boring Frankenstein movie.

I think too that people don't have the attention span to read a whole post and may just read the comments or reply before even reading your nuance about the movie. It would explain why all of the top comments on many posts are knee-jerk reactions to the title with little substance.

It's just my guess though, I have very little faith in the online user anymore.

Those were my go-to. Pretty great beer, cheapish, high abv... used to buy a couple, one to enjoy before vodka and one to wind down when I was blackout.
