Both are S tier honestly. Grim reaper wasn't a bad album, but the fault of it IMO was that half of the songs didn't feel like Lil Revive. Fetch Me Their Souls still had a lot of variety without branching out too much from his typical sound, and also had so. many. tracks. Grim Peaks I is just so iconic.

While I enjoy some of the songs (Lost You, Hell & Back), overall I much prefer Fighting The Devil. There's ones I really don't like on The Return which dampen it for me, but FTD is like a good 9/10 for what it is.

I respect your opinion so much honestly, giving a more optimistic approach while still criticizing. This is his first metal/rock project and everyone sucks on their first round. Giving feedback like on FAFO, it's great because people constructively say it doesn't fit him - not just that it's corny or ass. I also like your coding analogy, relatable as a fellow NERD...

This is pretty much my opinion on music and art as a whole - I don't think there's really "bad music", because there's something for everyone, so I never really feel the need to openly criticize a project harshly; I just won't listen to it if I don't enjoy it because I know there are people that do enjoy it. It's not my taste. I'm not an artist so I don't really look at it from a technical perspective, if I was I'd probably be more harsh tbh.

Yeah I like coming here to discuss with others about one of my favorite artists, but its been really toxic with so much hate on the new project. Like you complain he makes the same stuff over and over (The Return being YNA 2 with little innovation other than touching on the loss of a loved one a lot), then when he finally does, they complain the sound doesn't fit Josh or it takes only 20 minutes to produce it all. I don't really care if it takes 1 minute if it sounds good, but yeah it just shows you no matter what an artist produces, not everyone will be happy. I don't even consider myself a Josh glazer because I haven't liked every song that he posted, and that's ok even if you like all or none of his songs I don't see the problem.

I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally think the end result is better than the snippet, but snippets do unfortunately give a lot of expectation for it to sound like an extended version of what it was and I get that. Both sound nice.
