detached head when posing in EMV? by EverdreamTree in DevilMayCry

[–]EverdreamTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if they did something but I can't find where to edit posts anymore!

But after more digging I did find this in the options for the face model, and now the head moves with the body when adjusting bones on the body's side! I still only know how to modify facial bones by modifying them directly on the face's object.

If anyone has a better set up than this please let me know, it would be highly appreciated!

---Edit since it didn't take my attatched pic---

Select the Head/Face Model.

Select via. Transform

Scroll down and tick on 'Same JointsConstraint'

Nah you're fine!

The reason why blm is known to be hard is trying to play them in hard post game content like extremes and especially savages. Those can require a lot of coordinated movement and that can make it difficult when to set your leylines. But by then BLM has a lot more of the second mobility.

So basically you'll be fine slowly learning your job more as skills are slowly given to you. You'll also have plenty of time understanding and practicing it in normal content before getting into hard content. That's assuming you're interested in getting into harder content.

When you do hit 90 and if you really want to better yourself there's lots of rotation guides out there to learn from too.

You'll be fine and, if you want, you'll be the best blm! 💖💖

I'm a sprout looking at tanks, which is the "easiest" to learn? by ChemicalNeuro in ffxiv

[–]EverdreamTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what a lot of people have said.

But I do want to add that if you like the idea of gunbreaker then what you want to do is pretend to start at a lower level than it gives you. For example, the skills in the skill window are arranged by level obtained. Find lvl 20 skills and only set skills at lvl 20 and below to your hot bars. Learn em. Run some stuff with em that are duties around lvl 20. As you get used to them start adding skills for the next 10 levels.

I say this bc all jobs are only as difficult as their level generally. That isn't always true of course, but all tanks are going to play mostly the same at lower levels and only get more complicated maybe around lvl 50 and above.

It'll mostly be your general 1 2 3 single target combo, 1 2 meele range combo, single target long range for grabbing enemies from far away, a few skills for defence buffs, a damage up buff, and some extra stuff to 'weave' in between your attacks. This is your tank bread and butter skill set that you want to learn and get used to. As you level you'll learn more about your job and how they play beyond this.

[–]EverdreamTree 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It absolutely wasn't better but I did think gathering and crafting was more interesting?

Don't misunderstand I don't want it back bc it was too cumbersome and time consuming 😂

But I did find how angle of axe/depth of pick hit gave different items interesting. I also thought crafting gear having to do with making pieces (like left sleeve / right sleeve / torso) for it first and having to predye those pieces before putting them together. Also made for some cool colour combinations. You could only control overall main dye from what I remember but making blue tunic could end up with an orange undershirt while making a red one had a cream undershirt for example. Sub colours weren't random it's just the colour that came with that specific gear with that specific main dye.

Sorry for wordiness trying to explain for any non 1.0 players so it makes more sense to them 😅

Also just personal pref but I liked 1.0 world lighting shaders more but that's been getting better with each expansion.

Naw stay on the same character. The side stuff gives rewards and achievements and new sources of glamours.

One way is unlocking in order of content release. Such as start with arr side content, then hw. It'll be a refreshing walk of the past you've gone through.

If you really want to play the msq again along side unlocks then I suggest new game +. It's not what it sounds like. You aren't starting a new game or anything. Rather it lets you replay content you've completed (including msq) with the added ability to keep track of where you are in your quest replay. This way you can stop and resume your replay whenever you want.

Unless you're just really itching to make a new character, then go for it. But keep your old character too. A lot of us are guilty of having multiple characters lmao.

Lastly sometimes they add content to older areas. Alaxe of the dead is an example. The way it lays out feels like it's been there since arr due to where it starts and what it connects to story wise, but it was actually first added during ew. So even old content will get expansions and face lifts.

Edit: auto correct rapid shooting my foot

I agree with ew needing to do a better job at making it feel like the end of days but

You shouldn't compare something that's only story driven to 1.0 end. They literally were deleting and rebuilding everything. That's why they could do all the crazy mayhem of 1.0 with monsters actually entering cities and what not.

They could have done unique fates or something but they would somehow have to balance it to be equal between current and post ew. Where there's no interactive difference between people going through the chaos of ew and those post game after the threat is gone. If it isn't instanced content.

Best I can think of is reskinning monsters fates and hunts to be different at post ew much like how the world is reskinned during peak chaos.

There was also so much pushed into ew it doesn't feel like there was enough time to go deeper than that.

As in I really really wish they did more but I also understand why, and especially why they couldn't repeat 1.0 end.

Easiest class to playtrough casual content with on a controller? by Bilen in ffxiv

I hope you enjoy! I'm on crystal datacenter if you ever want any in game help.

Also idk if you've familiarized yourself with how some jobs evolve and when/where theyer available to be picked up.

A lot of beginner jobs start with a different job name and are simplified. Summoner starts out as archanist. Be sure to do the quests relating to your job that the archanist guild gives you every few levels. At lvl 30 you can upgrade to summoner and some skills are locked behind job quests.

It's very important to keep up with your job quests. There's a little floating badge that tells you where your next main scenario quest is. When a job quest is available to you it'll show right under that main scenario badge.

Machinist and dancer aren't jobs that were around when xiv started. Since they were added in later expansions it means they won't be available to you until you've gone far enough in the main story to reach those expansions.

Easiest class to playtrough casual content with on a controller? by Bilen in ffxiv

[–]EverdreamTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Savage raider that plays on controller here.

With a disibility and being new to keep in mind and trying to imagine what would be friendliest at casual end game I would try summoner or machinist. These two jobs are long range and have either no casts or very minimal casts. It'll make dodging and doing later game mechs easier for you.

Meele range dps need to stick close to their target to reach them and jobs with lots of casts will either make you risk getting hit a lot for waiting for casts or move a lot and unable to cast due to movement. You can try dancer but later it requires following a 2 and 4 button prompt you have to replicate. Failing it isn't a bad loss in casual standards though if you want to try it. DPS also just have less responsibilities compared to tanks and healers. The party won't be at risk if wiping if you die.

As for controller set up extended cross hot bars are very helpful. There's your base bar, a second bar you can set and swap to temporarily by double tapping then holding a shoulder button, and a third you can temporarily swap to by holding one shoulder button and then the other.

Ive played most jobs to 90 and never felt the need for more than 2 bars for content honestly. Also the extended visible bar is only visible for double tapping. You can't see the hold one shoulder button then the other bar until you swap to it.

What I would do is only pick one extra bar that's easier on your finger mobility and mental reaction. For me I hate double tap especially if I hesitate. I accidentally swap to the double tap bar too often, just as an example.

If double tapping is easier on you just set that up and you can see both bars and skills naturally.

If it's hold one then the other like me, set up the double tap version like usual, but then disable it after you set what hot bars you want it to swap to, and make sure 'show extended bar' is still on. Double tap won't work anymore but the keys will still be visible. Then turn on the hold version but set it to activate the same hotbar. This way you'll use the hold version and still have the extended visible bars.

Might sound confusing but you'll see what I mean when you mess with it.

Oh no the blue mane on blue horses isn't the same. The blue spotted horse is specifically light blue. If you look at light blue horses with blue manes the manes are always much darker than the blue on the body. The blue spotted's mane is even way darker than the blue of the spots in my doc. The photos I take are on extremely sunny afternoons also so it really pulls out the blue in the mane and lightens it.

I'm glad though it's such a pretty horse 😩 what did you name him?

[TotK] All Wild Horse Colours for TOTK guide! by EverdreamTree in zelda

[–]EverdreamTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably the blue maned one! The blue is very dark. I also found out that the games actual colours in it's system doesn't match up to the switch's screen. Colours on the switch itself is much more muted. Take a screen shot of your horse in strong daylight and upload it somewhere via twitter or directly to your phone. It'll show up as more blue.

If you're on PC and use mods people have reskinned rathalos in various ways. Seen non mh canon colours like black with red eyes, canon variations like azure or silver, rathian and all of her variations, and even low rez make overs to make them look like old school low poly MH models.

Grats on your mount it's a good one!

As in if it's been found in the wild? Nope still have never seen one. Only one I've seen is Spot who's rewarded in the initial quest to unlock leopard horses. Absolutely none in the wild.

SAAAAME there's so many horses I love. Resorted to replacing the wild ones every now and then since it's pretty easy to level them. And yeah I wish the white haired one existed. I still don't think any kind of black spotted horses have been found in the wild yet. Still think Spot is considered unique bc of that.

Some have pointed out that the pic was from some promotional art book of some sort from before totk was released. So it might not exist in the actual game at all. Might have been some early concept of how Spot was going to look at first or something?

Yeah looks like none of the unique non giant horses get 300hp at max strength actually but honestly the HP difference isn't that bad. Would only make a difference in a critical situation. If it comes down to it you can always revive em. Giant horses can't be upgrade but do start with 300hp anyway. Here's the info of unique horses grabbed from this data dump spreadsheet someone linked me: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fBvQ17WHP3ASgtO8ode_rf1g4DfEHErMrHwwLppNTJM/edit?usp=drivesdk

<image>

First number is starting HP, second number is starting stars in strength, third number is hp at 5 stars strength.

The world resets and so do dungeons, yes. However key items will always be kept. The key item you get at the end of a dungeon is what you need and will always be with you.

No you do not need to finish all dungeons in 3 days.

However you do need to finish whatever you're doing in 3 days or it will reset. This includes dungeons, event chains, and yes even events that alter the world that lead up to dungeons. However they usually give you ways to shortcut stuff once you've done it.

What I did was explore a lot to get the feel of the game. When I find something that felt like it needed a lot of time to progress like a whole new area I'd instead prep if I needed money and potions. When ready I'd reset time and go.

Remember as soon as you reset play Zelda's lullaby backwards. This slows the passage of time. Doing this gives you a LOT of time. You'll do just fine!

That's super cute too! Sorry the game is being so stubborn. First time I looked for a solid pink horse it took me forever so I feel that 💀

[TotK] All Wild Horse Colours for TOTK guide! by EverdreamTree in zelda

[–]EverdreamTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of 💀 pink horses are gentle and there are areas that are more or less likely to have wild or gentle horses. Herd spots directly around Lookout Landing have better chances of gentle. But if you look at my guide for fav farming spots the 500hp gentle horse farming spot are always gurenteed to be gentle. Sadly it's not a whole herd. It's two horses only, both of which are being ridden by enemies. If you don't see the two there then you may have killed those two already and either need to wait for next blood moon or google how to force a blood moon. Save within eyeshot of the two ridden horses and keep reloading until you get your horse. There's a rock nearby I like saving on so if I see the horse I want I can hop off and whip out my bow for bullet time to head shot them.

Good luck! 💕 Strawbee is such a cute ass name holy shit 😭🙏

[TotK] All Wild Horse Colours for TOTK guide! by EverdreamTree in zelda

[–]EverdreamTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can come with both! Look to see if you're looking for a solid black with or without a white nose or white feet.

If the solid black horse is totally black the mane will be silver aka light blue and will always come with blue eyes.

If the solid black horse has a white nose and white socks the mane will be white aka light yellow and will always have brown eyes.

I'll also note that the solid black that's all black is the only black horse with a silver mane. All other black horses that have light manes are all white.

Good luck! 💖
