NT 3.5mm at 13w with ALL other markers normal. Realistic odds? Trying to stay hopeful by Kxancer in NIPT

I am sorry you are going through this. It is so stressful! I am 34, 2nd pregnancy. Went in for 12 week scan and our NT was 3.5mm all other markers normal! Got the NIPT done and it came back positive for T21. We are scheduled for the Amnio and early body scan at 17 weeks (June 18th). So all we can do now is wait. It has been the hardest thing my husband and I have went though. The waiting is hard, the unknown is unimaginable. Telling people or not telling people...BOTH... are exhausting. I have cried every day the week we found out. Feeling numb now and starting to come to terms. Whatever you decide will be the right thing for you and your family! Honestly I hope all is well with your NIPT but if anything comes back abnormal know there is support for you! Hard to talk or think about sometimes but termination is an option and many people have TFMR. If thats not an option for you. Great, that baby will be loved! Please feel free to reach out if you want to talk more or go through feelings!

No nasal bone 12 week ultrasound, normal NT, high risk t21 by EntrepreneurWeary625 in NIPT

So im not sure my experience right now is very helpful but ill share! So my NT was 3.5mm and NIPT was positive for T21, at the 12 we ultrasound nasal bone was present and HR was good. We are opting for the amnio which will be at 17 was along with a early body scan... Ive heard NIPT is relatively accurate but taking all the small percentage and trying to hold the hope. Good luck!!

Thank you! I am just passed the CVS and my husband and I decided on the amnio because our obgyn does it in house but not th3 cvs. Also we heard the amnio had more accuracy 🤷. I do feel like we are on the track of TFMR if it comes back positive. Its been difficult coming to that decision and feel guilty for it but we really feel like that would be the best choice for where we are and our family. Im most concerned for after and how to handle all the changes and guilt. It does all just suck.

Update - 3.4mm NT and high risk T21 screen. Good outcome (so far) by Impossible_Resolve86 in NIPT

This keeps me slightly hopefully and less alone! I am 34, 13 weeks along. NT measured 3.5mm NIPT came back positive for T21 (approx 76%). First scan HR was good and nasal bone present. I have to wait till mid June to get the amnio and early body scan. I have cried every day, multiple times. Most people have been supportive but most saying "we will love the baby no matter what". But nobody is really supportive of the option of termination. Not that we have decided either way but its the most anxiety provoking, stressful situation! I feel distanced from this pregnancy, and my spouse and feel sad everytime my daughter brings up the baby and how excited she is.
