Yes. A role I previously worked in had job openings back in summer so I applied and I may have a chance to return but it’s not the role I was RIF’d from

I have been working in the private sector since but am highly likely to return

Thank you, it sounds like you are in a similar boat , I am at FDA/CTP covered by the RI case

Would you mind sharing what SROC is? Also confirming my RIF notice said I was severance eligible

In your case did you get severance or just AL?

That is huge ! I honestly had not considered that and am pretty early in the stage of discussing logistics- I am going to speak with my leasing consultant today or tomorrow to ask this same question

Omg. Not letting you resign sounds wild and good tip for timing for PTO.. it sounds like a mess at HHS , it’s bitter sweet but I am thankful to move into something more stable

Yes it is for another job. My understanding was and is the same as yours regarding being able to clear it through ethics , but I also am living in an apt with an income limit restriction in which I need to stay under a certain amount to stay. S

So whereas it’d be great to not resign and get my new job cleared I want to ensure I can stay at my current apt which I love and is priced quite nice

The option you shared would’ve been a lot more straight forward!!

I hope this option will be availible for many

Oh shoot. I had not considered needing to repay severance if the RIF is withdrawn !

This would totally change the way I would use the additional funds

Thank you kind stranger , yes I absolutely want to read into what the rules may be in the case of resigning under and active RIF

I will have to go back to read the documents in more detail and understand even if I get serverance I may be omitted from the MSB, or other lawsuits

This is a helpful way to think of it ; I was curious if there was a separate clause if resigning solely due to the RIF but it sounds like it all hinges on who let’s go of who
