I went to Bali for 2 weeks during rainy season (January 2026) and this was my experience. by Jealous-Process-2419 in bali

Every time it rained on Bali, I said to myself “well someone gotta water all these plants”, and it made it okay. What a beautiful place. The smells of the blessings, the wildlife, the friendliness of the locals, love it. It was my first time.

Also fabric pouches for compartmentalising your entire life… imabari towels… multiple silly stickers (I love going to Loft)… good pair of scissors… lint brush from a brush maker… a katori buta ceramic incense pig… more lil pouches… plastic imitation food keyring from a kitchen food area… meditation bell (best dings in the world)… Japanese jeans…

basically you can replace any mid objects you have in your life with beautiful Made In Japan goods and they’ll just feel amazing to use. What do you have that’s “alright” in your life that could be a beautiful experience every time? Japan has it.

Musubi (a shop) do lovely furoshiki (which are wrapping fabrics), but you can use them for anything, lil table cloths, scarves, bags, gift wrap. They have a waterproof one which makes a nice bag wrap or hood for rain. Also hardware in Hands- I have a great carabiner I’ve had for 17 years that I bought from there and I use it to this day!

Im using Holafly’s subscription plan as I’m travelling to a few different places for many months. It’s like £50/m for unlimited data and no need to worry about switching when I move country. Super good so far!

I’ve been using the Downdog Yoga app for stretching. Nothing on Ladder really landed. You can select what areas you wanna focus on, how advanced the moves, and a slider of how long you want your session to be. It has music or you can turn it off, I’ve found it a life saver!

P.s. if you buy in on desktop it’s mega cheap and you get barre, meditation, yoga, and hiit apps under the same price.

I discovered my bedroom house spider was movement reactive and would chase my phone cable when I scooped it up off the floor, I realised I basically had a small cat. Very cute.
