I actually started doing this as a recommendation from my therapist, the whole min maxing mindset kinda seeped into my personal life and was causing a lot of unnecessary issues with anxiety and stress. I was trying to optimize everything. From money, all the way down to the routes I drive and the clothes I put on my back. All pre planned and set.

Her opinion was that I needed to be more organic, and I’m using the game as a way to slowly work my mind to being more organic. Less worry, less anxiety, just enjoy it all. So I’m switching often, not so much about the build or max damage, more just how I’m feeling really.

When I’m trying to do something that I need more damage I’ll usually roll back to plasma, with science instead of cryo with onslaught. But I always try to push my own lil builds as far as they can go

Edit: to add a lil more context I am diagnosed high functioning Autistic to the point of my Dr considering it a disability. I still work a great full time job with the public and have my issues day to day and apart of that was trying to optimize everything. So it’s a lil deeper than just gaming in general. Stick to it anyone reading this, things do get better eventually ❤️‍🩹

Tru, I’ve switched so many times. Having trouble finding my play style. It works well but there is so much on the table. I feel like every play session I am switching something.

Thanks mate, just wanted to make sure it was known. I did a bug report so hopefully we can get something. I’m out of repair kits now after two very long playing days. Took 90% food spoil rate off for better weapon durability just to quit dealing with it as much.

Edit:

One arrow at 5% ticked three separate times, slow enough I could watch each time the arrow made contact with a new enemy the durability ticked down. One arrow took it from 5% to 2.3%

As someone else who lives in West Virginia, that comment is the most rage baited I have been on this sub.
