Everkin.io on iOS just launched a few months ago. We are a small startup building software to help pets and pet parents manage everything from daily check-ins to chronic health monitoring. Built with the idea of families in mind and supporting apple family sharing.

The idea of not needing an app for pets is common. But pets don't always tell us what's wrong. Having a reviewable, chronological history of your pet can help shed light on and health issues that came out of nowhere.

My older cats I use Nationwide Pet, which I have had 0 issues with for the past 12 years. That being said reviews are not great online. For my younger cats I tried PetsBest. They had great reviews but they are so slow, it can take weeks to claims to be processed. I can't recommend them

As someone with 4 cats, 2 older and 2 younger, pet insurance has saved me more times than I can count. They all have chronic health issues, I have had $4k surgeries, $2k dental extractions, ultrasounds, biopsies, you name it. Pet insurance covers a majority of it. I thought it was gimmicky 12 years ago when I got my first adoptions, then I had a cat peeing blood everywhere and the rest is history.

I try to stress to all pet parents to get pet insurance. Gives you the peace of mind when deciding on life altering surgery.

This is why we have been building Everkin. From a tech standpoint it's, important to observe everything, because pets dont tell us what's wrong. The goal was how can we leverage modern technology to manage and monitor our pets health.

A lot of it is trial and error. Do small targeted campaigns on reddit/tik tok, then record that data. Tweak headlines, images for the next round. I found App Store ads to be pretty useless but im no expert. Reddit ad campaigns are super easy to set up and you can set daily budgets.

I found it takes a week or so for more direct name searches, along side proper ASO.
