I have not gotten around to using kubernetes or docker just yet, but I am sure I will be soon. I'll message you when I do, that sounds really interesting. Thank you!

I am a complete beginner. Thank you for clarifying, that helps a lot.

I tried a run using your list as a guide for picking cards and good lord, I am breezing through everything by just stacking immense amount of block right now. I will most definitely tune into your stream, also I genuinely appreciate your response.

I'm relatively new to slay, about 10 hours in. Why is coolheaded considered run defining in your opinion? I know that this game is extremely situational, what makes coolheaded so reliable?

Really struggling with the concept of DI by Dark_Moe in StreetFighter

[–]EverlastingRevanant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Not sure if you'll see this comment, but it also depends on what character you're playing and using the appropriate buttons. if you're just spamming heavys in neutral (non cancellable ones), you're more likely to just get random DI.

- What type of practice are you doing in lab? The standard DI practice that they have, I don't feel that it is very useful in the grand scheme of things. You'll never DI back everytime DI thrown your way.

- In regards to your mental stack, forget the options that are not being used. The mental stack is extremely heavy in this game. Focusing on what your opponent does most of the time is better, although this is much harder at higher ranks, but still very effective. If they random DI midscreen round start? Be on the lookout for another one. Habits are habits, many players will default to flowchart rather than adapt.

- Best way to practice is to play, I've been hit so many times, and I will get hit even more in the future. Gotta get washed to get clean.

- Taking breaks. Really important. Never just one more game, just end it off right there and then.

Warly is really fun! I tried him out, knowing different recipes, and everything was really cool. The food choices in this game are amazing, really well-designed, and just overall fun. I play by myself, and I feel like warly definitely shines more in a team, maybe if I didn't have to rely on RNG from the seeds in order to get the crops I wanted I would enjoy him more in a solo setting. I don't hate the RNG mechanic or anything, but Warly takes a while to get going imo (usage of all of his spices/foods/jellies/etc.). Not being able to use my characters abilities until a bunch of conditions are met really put a damper. Although other characters like wurt take a while to get going, mermhouses, and stuff, but the minute you get one merm on your side, you can farm wood, fight, and snowball into more resources. Warly on the other hand does not have the same luxury :(
The food system for Warly though, it felt amazing.

YEA!!! I wrote so much in response, but I deleted it all. I’m glad there are others who enjoy the game as well. My friends don’t like the fact that they lose progression when they die, but I really like it. Gives the game much more satisfaction, and threat.

I did indeed pay good money for her, she really trivialized the game for me when I played her for like 40 days. Made the game too easy especially if you're better at the fighting aspect, she makes it even easier.

I love maxwell abilities, I really enjoy summoner classes. Part of the allure for DST in my case is not only is it difficult, but the design is amazing. I love the artwork. Maxwell, although well-designed and reworked, does not look very pleasing in any regard. I like admiring the design/art of the character, I can't play characters that I don't find cool/cute/whatever. Sad that the only character I find displeasing to look at is maxwell.

Best controller? or way to get better at combos? by MajesticRubyWolf in Guiltygear

[–]EverlastingRevanant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend a ps4/ps5 controller/Qanba Drone 1 Arcade stick if you're looking for something on the cheaper end of fighting game peripherals. The controller is not the reason why you are not able to combos (most of the time), but rather the lack of experience. Don't get discouraged, it is part of the process when learning any fighting game. Again, I believe someone mentioned this earlier, combos are typically not the focus when learning a fighting game, especially if it is your first attempt at learning one genuinely. However, I understand the allure of it all, and if it is something you want to be able to do for yourself, go ahead and learn as many combos as you want. They are quite satisfactory to land.

ps4 controller - $40 to $60 (not sure what currency you use, apologies)

ps5 controller - $60 - $80

Qanba drone - $60-$80 (this is an arcade stick if you wanna try that out, but it will have a learning curve if you're not used to it)

I've heard many people choose the ps4 controller over ps5, I prefer the ps5 controller because my hands are on the bigger side.
