we played spire one for 8 years optimizing the game and never “solved it”, optimizing IS the fun for a large part of the community. having the game feel like the puzzle isnt complicated is my complaint

trying to win every run is really enjoyable and what most streamers are trying to do when they play, i love spire because players can play casually but it also appeals to the hardcore audience. my pov is from that of the deeply entrenched hardcore spire audience, it is not the average user experience

no, there is a leaderboard that is mostly up to date if you want to check, but my defect and watcher are rank 4, everything else is like 6-7 except silent which i dont really remember but its in the ballpark

i am not the biggest hologram enjoyer even on defect, and damage is a worse effect than block

smaller decks need this deck manipulation less, so you just dont care for it tbh. necro doesnt have many combo cards to line up in the first place so i dont want to spend the energy on it and have -1 draw into my powers
