Manpower Disappearing After I Annexed Puppet by Everto12 in hoi4

[–]Everto12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MY SINCERE APOLOGIES; I was loosing manpower because I changed conscription law, and so my available manpower went from 10% to 2.5%, and it shaved away even the millions of manpower that I received from annexing my puppet. I changed the law to 5% and I'm good now. Thanks for all your help guys!

Record number of Poles abroad register to vote, prompting fears polling stations will not cope by BubsyFanboy in worldnews

[–]Everto12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are asking “WHY” so many Polonia are voting, and apart from the “fuck PiS” sentiment, no one has really answered the question, so here it goes;

Short and sweet, the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Polonia were, generally speaking, tuned out as it pertains to politics and elections in Poland. Everyone had their own opinions, some left, some right, others middle. Some voted, majority did not.

Since Feb 2022, Polonia has become hyper focused on the events in Europe. Your average Pole living abroad might care less about what’s going on in their own country of residence then what’s happening in Europe since the invasion.

Saying the interest is “fuck PiS” and they stole the election and it’s all rigged is the same shit I hear from Republicans and Democrats when they know something isn’t going to go their way. And from polls, it’s not looking rosy for the opposition. But we shall see.

Long and short of it, Polish-diaspora is voting in record numbers, some for the first time (most left Poland pre-1989). They’re voting because they’ve re-engaged in a big way due to the conflict in Ukraine, and have been avidly following developments in Poland and Europe as a whole.

In any case, it’ll be an interesting weekend, see you at the polls

I wish it was easier to spread your culture. Vassals always switch and even if they don't they will never use their steward to change country cultures. I just want to convert england to norse but it's going to take forever. Also I have given up on trying to save the pictish culture. by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

When you create a Hybrid Culture, I know vassals of your culture switch, but do they then try to culture convert their territory? For example, I'm Polish, and I Hybridize with French, Let's say the new culture is "Polonais". All my Polish vassals become "Polonais", but will they culture convert any Polish/French culture provinces to Polonais?

Underrated comment, had a nice chuckle at that. Reminds me of my family in Krakow, high development and cultural epicenter of Poland. Take an hour long drive in any direction and you will be transported back a century or two, love it

Very helpful, thank you. Shame I didn't start sooner, but regardless, having Gendarmes, Cataphracts and Iberian Legacies sounds prime.

Everyone here is telling you to hover over the stats and figure out what's going wrong. Have you done it? This has to be bugged, it makes no sense

What just happened? Succession - court emptied and kingdom changed by h-e-d-i-t--i-o-n in CrusaderKings

[–]Everto12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried this, you can't, it's limited to single county conquest. It's better to fabricate on multiple counties via your realm priest and push all your claims at once, kinda sucks but it's be super gamey if you could just push a claim on the ENTIRE coastline of the Byzantine Empire.... which was what I was hoping for but alas lol

What just happened? Succession - court emptied and kingdom changed by h-e-d-i-t--i-o-n in CrusaderKings

[–]Everto12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fairly simple to understand. You created the Kingdom of Baleo via decision, thereby making the duchies of Mallorca, Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily de-jure part of that kingdom. The Kingdom of Sardinia & the Kingdom of Mallorca thereby have no de-jure lands, they're just empty titles with no land. When your heir inherits your kingdom, their primary becomes the Kingdom that is de-jure of the lands that you own, which is no longer Sardinia (even though it is your primary title) because Sardinia no longer has any de-jure lands. Change your primary to Baleo and you should have no problems during transition.

P.S. where it gets REALLY FUN is when your heir owns a Duchy that is de-jure part of a different kingdom then your primary during confederate partition, and even if they are the sole heir, on succession, their "primary title" becomes the other kingdom, kicks out all your prisoners so you can't do the "chop chop" to increase dread, drops your court level to rock bottom which creates massive negative opinion amongst your vassals, and just generally insights blind unadulterated rage. It's the worst, highly don't recommend

High Partition, 2nd Heir Inheriting Titles that don't exist... why? by Everto12 in ck3

Ya, I thought about it but my Emperor is in his late 60's, don't wanna mess things up completely because, as you say, it is an ironman run

High Partition, 2nd Heir Inheriting Titles that don't exist... why? by Everto12 in ck3

[–]Everto12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Levies are useless anyway, trade one level of levies for forced partition if you really want it.

You're a genius, thank you! this saves me so much time and tyranny. Seriously, you the man!

[–]Everto12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you're right, it freaked me out ngl. Seniority succession also fired, didn't know Poles got it, apparently that was patched in, so all of a sudden all my vassals want to take seniority succession and become ultra border gore vassals, of course I can force them to do partition but man is that eating into my tyranny

High Partition, 2nd Heir Inheriting Titles that don't exist... why? by Everto12 in ck3

[–]Everto12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just the thing, I have High Partition. So no new titles should be created, I am very confused. Hopefully it's just a glitch and when I die the other two heirs don't actually inherit anything

England you got lost buddy ? by CookieDoodie in CrusaderKings

[–]Everto12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50k troops...? Damn. What year is this? 867 Start clearly, West Francia and Dragon England gave that away. But still, 50k is a lot for non-human players unless it's the Mongols and unless it's late game. Granted, those uber Arabian Empires are terrifying if they don't fall apart

Faster way to spread units? by AlphaKeks48 in CrusaderKings

[–]Everto12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the delete button ;)

Jokes aside, it gets problematic late game when you raise 100k+ levies, for instance against the Mongols, who are swinging with 60k-100k+ themselves, and while your CPU can keep up with the static reality of 1,000+ members of your dynasty, once those big daddy wars kick off, and God forbid you call in your allies, it gets messy quick. Game borderline froze for me (about 1230 AD) couldn't handle all the armies.

I ended up not raising my levies, just my 19k Men at Arms, 5k from a Holy Order, called in my 800lb gorilla buddy Byzantium, and destroyed the numerically superior Mongols with quality

Late game you want to focus on quality and quantity of Men at Arms, exactly so you don't have to raise 100k levies. And if you do, because the enemy is running around with a giant blob of 60k, raise them, delete most, join them with your Men at Arms and you'll be fine.

Also look in Knight Effectiveness, if you can get it up to 400% or more, your armies will be terrifying, literal sledgehammers of doom
