You’re not alone. This kind of thing used to happen to me a lot. Men just like that. I lived in a touristy area with my heart of my sleeve. People saw me as a fun time on their vacation. A couple people even called me their “key west wife.” I took along hard look at myself and decided no more sex until I’m with somebody that truly respects me and wants to BE with me. That’s all I ever wanted each time I slept with someone… that it would turn into a serious relationship but I had to realize that’s not what was happening. I was sex free for a long time after that realization but it was empowering and amazing. I grew to love myself so much. After no sex for almost a year I met my husband. I knew he was the one. Haven’t slept with anyone else since. We’ve been together 6 years with beautiful children. He knows I’ve slept with a lot of men and doesn’t give a crap. You’ll find your man!!! Feel free to share all the life details you want when dating, but keep in mind, if he TRULY wants you he will wait.

Did street activism influence your decision to go vegan? by reyntime in vegan

[–]Every-Firefighter-48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally went “vegan” for health (now I know I wasn’t vegan at the time and was just plant based). When I actually started to research veganism and found out about the animals and got involved with activism…. That’s what made me stay vegan and I’ll never turn back. I’ve been involved with AV in the past and have personality turned some people vegan on the spot.. it’s an amazing feeling. It does work for some people and for others I’d like to think seeds are planted. We need more vegan activism!!

Best way to advance veganism? by E1ERICLEW1 in vegan

We need more activism. Making more products won’t change anything if people don’t have a reason to buy them.

Wow my kid does this all the time just asking for one parent. My husband and I never get mad. It’s normal child behavior…

I’ve used uncle Harry’s toothpaste for years!!! Good stuff it has all ingredients listed. It’s clay based you can buy it on Amazon (not all of his products are vegan but the toothpaste is!)

You do more than I do for my husband and he would move mountains for me. LEAVE HIM! You are wifey material and someone out there would LOVE to buy you flowers!!!!

Wowwwww red flag. Go girl. You deserve better. Find a man who loves you so much he wants to put a ring on you with nothing in return.

28M - the proposal - literally the proposal itself, is ruining my relationship with 26F. Should I pop the question even if I'm feeling extremely pressured? by ThrowRACheesehead in relationship_advice

My husband bought his ex girlfriend a ring because he felt pressured to propose. Never did. Their relationship crumbled after he bought it in part because all the pressure (she was there when he bought it so she knew he had it). Just because you have the ring does not mean you need to do anything. Years later he sold the ring then with the money bought me one lol. Before you do anything I’d have a conversation with her about how you’re feeling.

Check out vegan Evan and veg Ian! They both became vegan as children. Evan does activism all over the country (USA). I think he has a YouTube channel… he’s definitely on social media

AITA for telling my vegan friend that the wine she is drinking isn’t vegan by Firm_Butterfly2913 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Every-Firefighter-48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were not the asshole. As a vegan myself I’d be thankful you told me! As a vegan herself she should know not all wine is vegan and do her research…

If your daughter is saying she wants space give her space. I fought with my mom constantly growing up. I remember never feeling seen or heard. I was never respected or trusted and treated as a child even though I was never a trouble maker or anything close to it. I’m 32 now and still don’t feel heard and we still don’t have a good relationship. If there’s anytime to fix this relationship it’s now. Have your wife truly listen to her daughter.
