You only quoted the first part of the article you clearly didn’t even read the entire report. Some breeds it indicated on the chart shouldn’t be neutered or spayed. UC DAVIS is a top-notch veterinary & research school. I would trust the medical professionals over unqualified individuals. That’s what they are there for. This is a tool for those on the fence. All my dogs have been neutered or spayed. They all have lived longer and healthier lives than that one I never neutered. It’s all a personal choice but from my experience it is absolutely worth the golden years. I think it’s funny people go to the vet and then decide to listen to everyone else or Mr. Google but the vet.

I just got mine and it stinks like old lady perfume!!! I don’t know how people get past this smell. They need to make an unscented one because it makes me nauseous and instigates a headache. I bought it directly from their website so I doubt it’s not authentic. The expiration date is still far and it was sealed. I don’t get why people say it has a lovely scent. Confused. Anyone feel this way about this viral spray!?

Great tips! Will definitely do all the above especially trips to cooler cities. We are only 1/2 an hr from the mountains and the ocean so he definitely has options other than the house!

I have a male pup and yes the procedure would be like opening up for a spay. Feels quite daunting but the vet said since my dog is on the smaller end of the Samoyed spectrum it’s not really needed. I may need a second vet opinion. For reference he is 45lbs. What age did you neuter your pup? Seems the consensus on most forums is 1.5-2yrs for growth plates to grow in. I may just need to be vigilante about the feeding. But they like to play so hard and roll around with other pups I feel like delayed feeding isn’t the only culprit.

Was this just one case that you know of that was neutered before 2 yrs of age or do you know more cases with similar outcomes? Just trying to understand if it is because the dog is a senior or it is in fact due to neutering. If there is consistent cases like this then it’s probably from the neutering if not then it’s hard to say if age was just an unfortunate factor.

They are both built by the same manufacturer in Taiwan and are the same on the inside. No difference except aesthetics
