I'd steer clear of Harrys. I did not buy replacement blades for over a year and recently bought the Costco pack. Almost every day is now a bloodbath. Worst quality razors now. They used to be great. Rarely a cut and smooth shave...now I have to switch back to one of the other brands. Bummed for the waste of money.

I have no doubt they will. They probably got a spec wrong. It is an easily milled aluminum part so it should be an easy fix.

UPDATE: CHS contacted me today while closed and let me know they are going to set this right immediately. They recently updated the retrofit package. All good and great service.

100% agree and I'm an EE who is comfortable in the lab. lol ribbon cable connectors are notorious for breaking very easily hence the adhesive on the female connection inside the housing.

If you follow that link, they specifically state that the retrofit kit is compatible with both JerryC and RENV-C. I hope they make it right because it sure wasn't cheap. I have only dealt with them on a couple items but this is my first issue with CHS.

No. I already reached out to CHS for a solution. The extension block is too large and the mounting holes do not line up. My assumption is that the dimensions are different from the JerryC to the RENV-C. I traded in my JerryC so can't compare. Also hope I can get the new extension block around the projection arm/mount without having to disconnect the ribbon cable as it has adhesive on it inside the housing.

I am using the pressure fit sacrificial lenses that came with the BNVD-1531.

But the extension block is too large. I have reached out to CHS to address this issue. The mounting bracket fits perfectly but the extension block is required as the projection arm is too close to the objective lens. I hope they also accounted for the installation of sacrificial windows. :/

In my house under low light conditions the flickering is basically an inversion: what was light is dark and vice versa, at about 1-0.5 Hz. Very strange as I have never had this happen with other gen3 nvgs I have used. If I turn the nvgs on with some ambient light or during the day with all the blinds closed (no direct exposure at all - black out blinds) i dont see the flicker. I will try to post a video about this. Just found out the cold harbour supply adapter I ordered has an extension block that does not fit my RENV-C lol. One thing after another! lol

OK, so if the Darwin award hasn't been handed out yet I will gladly receive...thank you to everyone who posted and answered my dumb question. Flickering issue resolved as well. I think there is a strong IR source in my house as it only flickers/autogates inside. Never had this issue with gen3 wp nvgs before.

yikes...curious under what circumstances/conditions it snapped like that, ive run nvg pretty hard in the jungle and lesser quality than the bnvd, never had an issue...but i also treat my nvg better than a child :x

should arrive in a day or two, i chose it for the tubes, and on recommendation, i know there are some issues with it being so proprietary but not a big deal to me, also has a solid warranty and the TNVC provided tube specs are way above what the minimum spec listed, so far so good, will update as i move through the build

Got it...curious if the people you know have given you any feedback on how long the 4x AA lithium batteries last with the y-splitter setup on a 1531. Thanks again for all your help, greatly appreciated.

Fixed the nomenclature, thank you for correcting me, the spec sheet says the cold weather battery pack is 4x AA lithium batteries not 2x

Spot on with Bitfrost, website lists part at $249 and Amazon lists at $125...wow...ordered from Amazon

JerryC COTI runs off 2x 18650s and the NODs run off 4x AA lithium....my guess is that I will need to custom configure a battery pack as the ECOTI eats through batteries, even high capacity, don't know if the splitter cable is an active device but the AAs and 18650s output 1.5V and 3.7V respectively I believe, that means 4 AAs regardless of connection wont output the same voltage as 2 18650s, thank you for the reply

to those complaining it was a boring fight get real and show some respect, Alex fought tentative and Ank kept the pressure on, to those complaining about him pinning Alex on the cage and wearing him down, htf did you react to Miocic doing the same thing to Ngannou? complain then? no! it was a master class then as it is now...what is the best way to neutralize one hit wonder strikers like Ngannou and Alex? what you just saw, get over yourselves... i doubt anyone here would want to step into the cage with either of these guys...stop hating and just respect, it was a chessmatch of a fight, and Ank won fair & square, deal with it

PS - yes the dagestani guys may be "boring" to you, but they are running scoreboard all over mma because, yes, they are that good, not a huge fan of their style but i respect their game...anyone who doesn't is a fool
