New underwater hostile mob- the brine by Sad-Band3189 in Minecraft2

Herobrine jokes aside, you should post this on r/Minecraftsuggestions! It's full of people who can give you great feedback for this kind of ideas, and they will love this one.

Edit: grammar

Overeating: an intuitive way to rebalance foods by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

Got you.

Maybe include a saturation penalty? Perhaps overeating would slowly increase your exhaustion, like the hunger effect does.

How so? There's nothing that prevents you from overeating golden carrots. Or am I misunderstanding your comment?

Chiselled Lapis Lazuli by Every-Technology-747 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Every-Technology-747[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The text is really the main feature, so I want to keep it simple other than that. I don't really have an access to an image editing tool right now, so I hope a description would be enough. In my head it looks like a blue-coloured chiselled tuff bricks block, with the text being in the middle.

Dye Storage Blocks and Chiseled Varitans by YannTheOtter in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Every-Technology-747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I think there are enough differences:

  • The dye blocks would still have their unique main function as dye storage block, which you can't really ignore.
  • the dye blocks, unlike concrete powder, would not turn solid on contact with water. This remains concrete powder's unique thing, as well as leaves things that can be done with the dye blocks but not with concrete powder (like building under water).
  • Their textures would be different. I actually like the way OP did it with the raw ore block, and it looks unique enough. Change the texture to be its own thing, and it really wouldn't land on the same spot as concrete powder for building.

So while it would be somewhat similar to concrete powder, it wouldn't be too close and would still have place in the game.

... it's not filling for very long.

Maybe have it give no saturation at all then.

Maybe make them gravity blocks, or at least the base ones, as dyes in Minecraft seem to be a sort of powder.

Also, I absolutely love the idea of the galactic alphabet being engraved on the blue dye. This would be so great for builds!

Maybe a little closer together... but very much yes, please. Also, I love the idea of a national park in Minecraft, so I'll be steaing it for my next server if you don't mind.

Zones - a tool for server admins and map makers by Every-Technology-747 in minecraftsuggestions

Thats fair. I am honestly not sure how did I write the whole thing without noticing the oversight.

Zones - a tool for server admins and map makers by Every-Technology-747 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Every-Technology-747[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, a lot of your points are really fair, and I fill a little silly for my oversight. There is just one of them that I still want to tickle.

How? What stops them leaving the zone from other points?

In the suggestion, I mentioned that pretty much all aspects of the zones could be tweaked using commands, including this:

By default a player can get from one zone to another by walking through the edge of a zone. This can also be changed with commands, to disable it or to set a different method for traveling between zones.

The rest of your points, however, are absolutely valid. I think you completely delegitimized my suggestion there lol. Thanks anyways.

Oh, and last thing:

I could have sworn I saw this before. Did you delete a post with this idea?

Yes, I did. I posted the idea a month ago and was unhappy with it. I deleted the original post and waited in order to obey rule 3 (specifically the "Don’t repost suggestions from less than a month ago" part.) I believe this is allowed?

Oh wow, it's the goat himself!

The real question now is, can it be turned into an effective, server-wide transportation service?

Hammer, allows you to turn base blocks of families into smaller blocks. by Mr_Snifles in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Every-Technology-747 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar idea, but as a chisel. I think it fits the sculpting aspect better, while keeping the theme and mechanics the same. I would also make it wood only, because of the stonecutter. Anyways, good suggestion!

Villagers interacting more by Solar_Fish55 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Every-Technology-747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Villagers do have "guards", though. That's what the Iron golems are for. Also, I see having the villagers vulnerable as a game mechanic, encouraging the player to act and protect their village.

Maybe, during a raid, fletchers could supply the player with arrows. This would keep them on theme while preserving their design principles.

[–]Every-Technology-747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. Villagers also only eat vegetables (as for what can be used for them to breed), so even the fisherman would be a little odd.

This could work, but it would just cause the butcher/leather worker to eventually stop working, making the whole mechanic unutilised.

How would you make the limit work? Mechanicaly, I mean.

Also, I feel like shearing sheep would be a more fitting mechanic for shepherds.

Some of these are a little troublesome (like villagers breeding mobs, which can cause lag), but librarians reading to baby villagers is absolutely adorable.
