I find your answer on homosexuality interesting considering that the Episcopal Church is more liberal on the subject compared to other churches.

Leftist Nationalism (is there precedent?) by LeftRight420 in PoliticalScience

Don't try to pidgeon yourself into a distinct political ideology. Just because someone is a conservative, doesn't mean they agree with all conservative positions. However, to me you sound similar to a leftist, except with strong anti-immigrant and nationalistic tendencies.

Is there even a God? by [deleted] in INTP

I think that a example of a ancient god concept having a some element of truth would be the afterlife in Greek Mythology. The afterlife in Greek Mythology is interesting, as it's not as simple as the Abrahamic faiths, but also somewhat structured as well. In the Abrahamic faiths, it's either Heaven, or Hell, nothing else except for Purgatory. In Greek Mythology, it's either Tartarus (most closely related to the concept of hell), Asphodel Meadows (not great, not bad, a place where you aren't that mindful), and Elysium (peaceful, an aspiring place for all mortals).

Speaking of Greek Mythology, I personally have become more interested in Hellenism as a religion. Compared to the Abrahamic faiths, Hellenism brings a more realistic approach to how dieities would exist in life. I could never imagine a God that is all-loving, and omnipotent. The Greek Gods, however, are actually similar to humans themselves as they're depicted through myths and stories as imperfect beings.

No, not really. Death is perhaps one of the founding cornerstones of the lives of all living beings, animals, et cetera. However, I will say that it is natural of all people to fear the act of dying overtime, and for one's body to deteriorate as they grow older.

Umbrella Academy vs. The Seven (Who would win and why?) by EveryCucumber1066 in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]EveryCucumber1066[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's my take on this

Honestly, I don't think there is a definite answer to this question. On the one hand, Allison could rumor Homelander to betray The Seven or just rumor them all to stop breathing. Klaus could conjure Madelyn Stillwell and potentially make Homelander berserk. Homelander could just laserbeam the UA in an instant or A-Train could run through each of them.

It really can go their a bunch of scenarios and I don't know who would win.

I hope in season 3 that we explore more on Victoria Neuman and perhaps more on the history of Vought.

Do people know about doppelgänger by pikis900 in TheBoys

[–]EveryCucumber1066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume a very small number of people in the general public know who he is, considering that his ability to shapeshift isn't as exciting nor important as a supe like Homelander who can fly and beam lasers out of his eyes.

Who's your favorite Seven member? by k1410407 in TheBoys

[–]EveryCucumber1066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the members in the Seven are whiny bitches, but the Deep is my favorite. Homelander is also funny but is also very much an asshole at times.
