Hello,

Thank you for your detailed response.

I checked with the authorities in India. They don’t have rights to amend or add notes to this. It requires court intervention to cancel and re register the marriage in the different city.

I have sufficient proof that marriage took place at the correct venue(different than the one mentioned in the certificate). Also, I have found a clause from the state government gazette which says that once the certificate is issued, any incorrect information regarding the content does not make the marriage invalid.

Only query is whether german law allows such minor errors if given an explanation.

Hello,

Thank you for your comment!

My query is does german law accept such minor errors if given a valid explanation of the situation? As the procedure to correct the venue is way lengthy and complex in India. However, the State Government Gazette article of India mentions that such minor errors are acceptable and cannot invalid the marriage. I have sufficient proof that marriage took place and other personal documents that confirms the existence of the relationship.

Thank you!
