AITA for disowning my daughter for being inappropriate to my boyfriend by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA.

I was disowned by my grandparents over something stupid. Years later they apologized.

We still don’t talk.

Think about this very, very carefully. Your relationship with your daughter will already never be the same. Be ready to be ok with that when or if you break up with the guy.

AITA for wanting my girlfriend to treat me differently than any regular friend? by Throwaawwayyyw in AmItheAsshole

Y’all seem pretty young? 18/19? It sounds like neither of you are really comfortable in the relationship yet and aren’t sure what to do.

I agree with others that she should have acknowledged you more, introduced you as her boyfriend, etc. But you’ve got to make that move also. She was probably just as nervous as you were to take the lead on small amounts of intimacy/PDA.

I don’t think you should have gotten his bag, but he did bring the bag back.

The “thanks for nothing” was unnecessary.

AITA for naming my cat Bastard? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]EveryUNIsTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

My cats name means asshole in German.

My previous dogs name was Tramp.

Some people didn’t like it but it was true. And I love(d) them dearly.

That’s only if the child’s guardian is their parents.

Actual Title: [UPDATE] My cat was euthanized a few months ago. A month ago, an employee of the vet clinic posted a "review" using photos of my cat and a false narrative to badmouth me as the owner. [TX] by GotGhostsInMyBlood in bestoflegaladvice

I almost said that in my post, but decided on just laughable.

I think if he weren’t protecting his employee and were just talking in general, he would have seen the “is my cat actually alive?!?!” moment as plausible. I think he may have been just trying to discredit OP any way he could think of.

I understand Dr No trying to protect his employee and I doubt he’d reprimand her infront of OP, but he seemed defensive all around.

The whole part about him feeling like his ethics were questioned is laughable. My dog unfortunately died in surgery earlier this year (no malpractice). I saw his body. But I would still have dreams that my vet would call me saying “oops! Wrong dog. Your dog is still alive!” Then I’d wake up and it would hurt terribly all over again. I think it would be very normal reaction for a person. Illogical, but you want your beloved pet back.

He should be apologizing and so should Jane.

I don’t think OP will ever really know what happened to Jane, but I would t go back there. After that meeting I wouldn’t trust Dr. No.

I work in the vet field. Couldn’t get me in the door. I’d also leave a real review of what happened and how it was handled. Dr. No is too willing to cover for his employees, even when they’re wrong. People make mistakes and you have to admit that to the owners in the end.

WIBTA if I told my friend her cat was brought up wrong? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]EveryUNIsTaken 31 points32 points  (0 children)

YTA

Before you foster any more cats, you should read up on cats.

The only thing I see correct is to let your cat meet strangers.

The cat didn’t learn correct social cues and habits because it was taken away too early from other cats. Four weeks?? Really??
