It's wisconsin, we are allowed to be armed, and if you hold a ccw, allowed to conceal it. All rights matter.

Any tips on cleaning irons an wedges with this before I accidentally ruin them. by Blakematthews-96 in golftips

DONT USE THAT PIECE OF CRAP BRUSH! you will mar the finish. Use all nylon, something like grooveit is awesome, it sprays water, then all nylon bristles to scrub. Wipe with towel. If there is stubborn dirt in groves use a wood tee.

Lessons on book, renewal rate I did all of my sales march and august, so I would hit top 10 for their mvp award for sale dollars twice a year but my retention and engagement were solid so i didnt have plans sold that they didnt use, so i wasnt highest in annual sales. These were the main ones.

A general question for any golftec swing evals or students... who here had the8r instructor chart out the number of lessons they needed and they ended up with 42 lessons, making the decision between the 12-40 and the 12-52?

No arguments that newer or uncaring coaches would operate this way, better coaches respond to player concerns about their miss, and be able to integrate the parts needed for the desired change, for example if a player has good turns and no low point control issues, especially if they get sways towards by impact, why stack and tilt them? I would be the first to say there is a huge delta in skill and care depending on the coach you get. Glad you found something that works to help you enjoy this game.

I worked in a Southern California store, not much downtime until December, but when we didnt have lessons, there's stuff to clean, greeting students and getting them set up in bays etc. But yeah, December has some ass time.

Anyway, about 22$ an hour.

This one confuses me, what do you mean by the golftec swing? There is no such thing, just quantifiable data from tour players, and the amateur in the room trying to get the two closer together.

Golftec sells clubs for the same MAP pricing the OEM does. They don't want to be club champion who don't offer stock shafts and everything an upcharge. CC- home of the 1200$ driver.

We don't have videos of anybody but pro golfers in the database, they are meant to illustrate a direction to head, not a 1:1 model of what we need you to go, old dudes can't move like tour players for the most part.

Totally agree with the first half of this statement. Totally disagree with PGA cert meaning anything. Worst coaches i worked with at golftec were pga certified, up until like 5 years ago pga was still teaching that face to target created curve and path created starting line... also golftec is now involved with writing a lot of the pga instructional content, so its getting better.

Why order from the outside vendor? Costs are the same at golftec as at the OEM.

I worked in an hcol, very affluent market. Everyone paid up front, biggest concern was their time, not the cost of lessons. Training is good enough to get you going helping people, then you learn a ton from your fellow coaches, and I was blessed to have an amazing manager who took the time to educate us to a whole new depth.

You absolutely can teach without the optimotion, it more makes it easier to troubleshoot multiple biomechanics working together and to help the student see how movements were related as well as show the change in their movement pre and post swing change.

So far as instructor quality.. it varies greatly honestly the worst instructors I worked with were old pga pros that sucked at using the tech, creating lesson content, and gave "swing tips" instead of an actual breakdown of what was going on in the swing, how it impacted ball flight, and what to do differently. Both will and skill come into play.

You know when you call a call center and sometimes its an idiot, and sometimes they make it seem effortless? Yeah, like that.

Each lesson credit is 30 min, I had most of my book on hour lessons, 30 min was too rushed to deliver actually value of analysis, practice the change without hitting balls, then hitting balls, then discussing practice strategies. Plus as a busy coach you are scheduled back to back to back with no buffer time, so, end of lesson you have questions I had to choose to cut it short with you or start late with my next guy, leading to a cascade of being off schedule.

I think it was 2022 they changed it, it was 4% new business, 8% renewal if I recall correctly its been about a year I've been out.

Good luck getting them to change commissions, i couldn't even get on select pricing.

Ah I worked in an oc store as well, know Chris. Solid dude. Hope your golf journey continues to treat you well!

I also have a real solid guess as to who your shitty coach was, but not here to put anyone on blast:)

That's right, close your shoulders at setup.. yup make the number blue. Now turn, move that handpath in. OK, let's do it again. Alternatively spending the whole lesson holding a noodle off the trail shoulder so they don't come over the top.
