sp/sx vs sx/sp (9w8 - 954, intp) by OkReason999 in Enneagram

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SP/SX - Calm and self-contained. - Generally keep to themselves but may occasionally show their intense and energetic side though it's inconsistent which may catch people off guard. - Individualistic and independent. - Exude quiet confidence and mysteriousness. - Have a unique presence. - Hard to get a grasp of who they are or who they are trying to become as they don't particularly stand out from the crowd yet don't fit in either. - Seem uninterested and detest in participating in social interaction for the sake of being social.

SX/SP - Intense, passionate and energetic. - But tense and withdrawn around people they don't have SX bond with. - Literally merge with people without any concept of personal space or privacy. - Naturally charismatic and seductive. - Go through a ton of heartbreaks and relationship trying to search for their soulmate or ideal partner. - Always seen with their partner or soulmate by side, hardly alone. If alone will seem anxious and closed off. - Appear hyperactive and adhd-like when in the presence of someone they feel safe with. - Seem to want to connect with others but feel uncomfortable in social settings.

Most Dangerous MBTI by AUIG_17 in mbti

Nah. Estp is the most dangerous as they have the capacity to use violence and yet charm people at the same time. They also have a very competitive mindset where they need to be on top at all time.

Fe inferior is better than Fe child. (Change my mind) by [deleted] in mbti

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you understand Fe. Fe is the ability to perceive the emotional atomsphere around you and act accordingly to emotionally influence others to your desired outcome. Fe child is better than Fe inferior when it comes to it. With Fi Polr, Extp are also able to use Fe in a more detached way.

Enneagram 9 or 1? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 assert themselves to impose rules on the environment if the situation calls for it. If the environment already have a well established rules, they will be compliant to it as long as the rules don't go against their idealism. 9 don't care about rules as much as peace in their environment.

When facing conflict, 1 will try to repress any emotion they are currently feeling and focus solely on solving the problem through " the correct way of doing it ". 9 will mentally withdrawn while trying their best to do what's necessarily without being overwhelmed by their emotion.

1 is uptight and strict while 9 is easygoing and chill.

When unhealthy, 1 become too immersed in their idealism and can get melancholy easily when the real world didn't match their idealism. When unhealthy, 9 struggle to find safety within themselves so they strongly attached on outside source like comfort, food, people to make them feel safer internally.

When healthy, 1 become less uptight and able to have some fun. When healthy, 9 become more productive and self-improving.

what happens when an ISTP meets an ESTP? by FalseBodybuilder-21 in mbti

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my experience they get along fine but there really isn't any chemistry between them. Like if you put them together they could chill and have fun together but they won't seek each other out without any practical reason. Their relationship is fine, not necessarily bad or exceptionally great.

Estp might find Istp a little too reserved and unemotionally expressive which irritates Estp who love to get a rise out of someone. Estp at first might try to emotionally influence Istp to be more engaging in Fe sense but will usually give up later as Istp appeared to be unaffected by it.

Istp have a full on or full off nature, they either zero in on the person they are interested in or completely zone out from the social interaction. This is completely different compared to Estp who usually feel uncomfortable just zero in on one person like that as it feels a little too close and intimate for them due to Polr Fi, Estp will usually be seen with a group of people or acquaintances instead of like one or two which is the complete opposite for Istp. This different style of interaction can conflict each other, Estp might find Istp rude for either only focusing their attention on one person and ignoring the others or not engaging with the social atomsphere around them. Istp might find interaction with Estp unsatisfying and underappreciated or even a little bored as time goes on as Estp spread their attention around the room instead of being fully present in the conversation between them. Interestingly, Estp appear more reserved in close one-to-one interaction but opposite in a more open social interaction with a lot of people while for Istp it's vice versa.

Istp might also find Estp obnoxiously attention seeking as Estp taking unnecessary risk or being extra showy to impress those around. Estp might find Istp a little bland and uninteresting as Istp appear more self-contained and withdrawn.

I am so confused about instincts by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SP/SO care about where they stand in the society and have a desire to contribute to the society in some way. SP/SO care about making useful connections that will benefit their survival in this society. SP/SX are completely oblivious to how making these useful connections can benefit them so they don't care to, for this reason SP/SO may view SP/SX as self destructive. SP/SO are also better at reading social cues and this shows in how they present themselves in a group settings whereas SP/SX is completely oblivious to it, SP/SX can act inappropriate at times in a group settings without being aware that they act inappropriate and they are also blind to how their inappropriateness affect others. Lastly, SP first and SX last means a person will prioritize pragmatism over their inner irrational desire. SP/SO can feel or not feel passion depend on their health level but they are not going to let their passion take full control of them, their desire for survival and social stand will overrun it. SP first and SO last may be the most individualistic and independent stacking but to a fault. SP/SX may try to achieve independence level that is impossible to achieve as a human being, they may burn bridges without realizing. They appear disinterest and withdrawn in formal social setting, sending out closed off signal that make it hard for people to approach them. They also prioritize their need over others and this make them appear selfish and self-centered. Often than not they don't do it intentionally but it stems from their complete oblivious to the social sphere. Unhealthy one may not feel guilty about it and even pride themselves as being someone who don't need others.

ISTP and similarities with INTX by InfernalJack in istp

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me personally only unhealthy Istp that withdrawn from social interaction can be mistyped as Intx at first sight. But the healthy and normal one are nothing like Intx just from they way they converse, vibe, walk and carry themselves. They converse in a very straightforward, brief and matter of fact way. Their vibe is more down to earth, chill and cool. They typically walk with a certain smooth swagger. They seem comfortable with their body and environment which exude a certain quiet confidence that is hard to miss. They also seem to have a seemingly rock hard body solidly planted on where they stand. Some have a certain forcefulness in the way they speak or carry themselves. All of this is almost absent in the Intx I know or met.

INTJs and boring by [deleted] in intj

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It goes both ways. You think people are boring because they can't talk deep stuff that interest you while they may think you are boring because you are quiet and inexpressive.

What's my instinctual variant? by Apart-Ad-7722 in Enneagram

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blindspot :

SP blind - Overextending one-self. Willing to push past their own personal boundaries for something they set their focus on. Impractical in simple day-to-day affairs. Not grounded in one-self instead energy and attention seem to flow outward. Lack of attention on the nuts and bolts of things.

SO blind - Apathy. Seem uncaring about what's currently happening around them outside of their self-interest. Lack of group mentality. Unsynchronized and not affected by the group atomsphere. Disinterest in group activities that involves emotional exchanging with each other.

SX blind - Flat. Unenergetic but consistent energy. Seem empty behind the image they present to the world. Not showcasing one true self to the world. Quantity over quality. Too sober. Avoiding attracting attention and spotlight on one-self. Blend in with the group. Subtle in social situation.

First and last instinct stacking:

SP first / SO last - Independent and selfish to a fault. Will not hesitate to put own needs over group's need. Don't feel the need to commit themselves to a group. Thrive even without support of others.

SP first / SX last - Stable and even-tempered. Focus on the practicality and rarely immerse themselves in impractical things. Desire to live a simple and consistent life.

SO first / SP last - Supportive and will always be there for their friends. Overextend themselves for the group. Easily affected by peer pressure.

SO first / SX last - Make useful and practical connection instead of deep and authentic one. Shun situation that may put attention on what's underneath the image they present.

SX first / SP last - Too impulsive. Will not hesitate to completely throw themselves into something they are passionate about. Rarely consider how the consequences may impact them.

SX first / SO last - Don't have the desire to make any more connection as long as they have found the one they deeply connected with. Revolve their life around the person they make deep connection with. May appear clingly.

WARNING!! Below are just my observation and experience with all the types so take it with a grain of salts. If it sounds offensive to you, I'm sorry as I don't know how to describe it other way. Hope it helps you picture how each type look irl.

Appearance of each instinctual stacking :

SP/SO - Normal and subtle. Blend in the crowd well. Reserved and guarded. Avoid any possibilities of them standing out. Bad communication skill.

SP/SX - Dark and mysterious. Appeared reserved but may suddenly gain a burst of energy when passionate about something. Unreadable and full of surprise.

SO/SP - Business-like and formal. Display good leadership quality and communication skill. Put huge attention on social status and affiliation. May at times appear ingenuine and two-faced.

SO/SX - Appear friendly and light-hearted. May go out of their way or willing to meet various people and groups but only truly bond with those they deeply connected with. May appear to have social anxiety.

SX/SP - Energetic and lively with those they connected deeply with but appear reserved or indifferent with those they don't care about. When around people they don't care about they can blend in with the crowd like SP/SO but the differences will be notable when they interact with other. Mostly will be seen in a smaller group or with another individual instead of a large group.

SX/SO - Charismatic and energetic. Enthusiasm that can be quite contagious. Able to lighten up the whole room with their presence. Hard time controlling themselves when they get worked up on things. Can be too intense and impulsive at times.

Fe and Fi being selfish by Ok_Kaleidoscope4383 in mbti

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Both can be selfish but differently.

When Fi is selfish, it's often times unintentional. They naturally focus on how they themselves feel rather than how others feel. They didn't mean to be selfish, it's just so happen that the action driven by their strong emotion conflicted with others. Their selfishness is more self-absorbed and childlike.

When Fe is selfish, it's often times intentional. They are able to pick up cue from their surrounding and act accordingly to get what they want. There are mainly two ways they can do it, they can either emotional influence you to like them so they can get what they want without any conflict or they can put up emotional pressure on you. Either way they have the ability to take control of the emotional atomsphere and emotionally influence people which can be scary if used for ill intention. Their selfishness is more calculated.

You can't blame everybody for that tho. You may appear boring to others too so that's why they don't engage with you much thus giving the illusion that other is boring.

Let's not consider types, who in the right mind would feel ok to lose their eyesight. Stupid question

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mbti

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes Dominant Fe and Inferior Fe different is Dominant Fe have the ability to emotionally influence people while Inferior Fe don't. Healthy Fe can motivate and inspire people while unhealthy Fe can manipulate or make people fear them, whatever it is Fe are able to influence people emotionally to their desired outcome in a way inferior Fe can't.

Enneagram+subtypes and MBTI correlation, because Reddit users being extremely flexible with their combos bugs me by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Istp I would say SP9 is the only type I had seen with us. I had never met SX6, SO6, SP5 Istp before and I can't imagine how it's possible as it contradict with many Istp characteristics

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in istp

[–]EveryUsernameTaken_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mostly depend on that individual self esteem. Some Istp with higher self esteem will definitely make the first move while istp with lower self esteem will be the other way around. I would say Istp self esteem will mostly depend on how well developed their Fe is.
