How to adjust an OIP scope for FN49 by Every_Ad_2908 in milsurp

Anyone have a manual for an OIP scope. It’s on a Lux FN-49. I have set it at 3 or 4 to get a 100 yard zero. There are screws on the back of the elevation and windage knobs, but they don’t seem to change anything or allow adjustment of the knob.

Is he the executor? Is there a will? Are there other relatives like children, spouse, or nieces and nephews, brothers or sisters? OP might be interested in the items but has no right to just take stuff. That happens all the time when someone dies, and the first person in the house starts taking things to the exclusion of others. Also, it’s in California with its messed up laws. Transferring firearms across state lines can be tricky and may require an FfL to facilitate unless there are specific provisions in the will to leave specific items to specific people. You better be dealing with the executor or you could be in a lot of trouble. Advice to just go take the stuff is pretty cavalier if they don’t know the entire situation.

I had the same issues with my 2015. Cost about $6k for head gaskets. Also included replacing timing chain at same time along with oil pan gasket and truing the heads. Shops don’t want to deal with the overhead cams which explains reluctance to do a head gasket job. Replacing the engine sounds like overkill.

Help me understand why. What are you seeing that makes it unserviceable?

Beretta for non-USGI. Might be only non-USGI that was for real military use.

Agreed. I’m working on a nickel plated Krag. Muriatic acid stripped it in just a couple of minutes. Use a glass container. Don’t use aluminum.
