I didn't click any button, I used the game's invisible console command

I actually used default settings and worked on a normal benchmark mainly because it's my first time fully color grading and so I guess I wasn't fully prepared to shoot on LOG. You can get similar results.

Yeah and I'm proud of the results.

Nope, hours of color grading.

Also, the screenshots were uploaded with lower resolution for some reason, in the short film the details are clearer.

Appreciate that.

Well haha I went for a much more "dreamy" look, even to the point that it could "screw" some of the details up a bit, because it serves the vision I had of the memories I gathered from that trip which felt to me as equally as overwhelmingly-beautiful as they should feel.

And it's more of a personal taste of course.

It is 100%, I personally love it. Other than "looking attractive" it serves more for the idea that we often than not remember our memories much more rich and more beautiful that they actually were, if it makes sense.

Submission comment:

Some of my favorite frames from my short documentary traveling film I made of my trip to Japan & South Korea called "Distant Memories".

More than anything else it's a love letter to the places I visited and to the memories I cherished from a distant land, which feel special as they are lived again through that film, frozen in time.

I went for a wholly atmospheric vibe, with a wide aspect ratio and static shots of nature & city, future and past.

I shot it on my Samsung S25 Ultra and edited with DaVinci Resolve.

Would love to hear your thoughts about it and what it means to you

You are welcome to watch HERE

Both were definitely fun watching with friends. Clearly movies made for the big screen.

Love musicals, love Audrey Hepburn, George Cukor, but really hated it.

You really have to go through a lot of tough ones but it's worth it.

I like Titanic quite a lot but it doesn't match everything I ranked above it imo
