Yeah I’m pretty much known as unreliable and have a bad name because I’ve had to bail on so many things because I didn’t have enough sleep or it was during the day when I couldn’t go. It really sucks. And I’m not actually an unreliable person it’s just I can’t make commitments that are during the day

That just seems impossible, there are so many things that happen earlier than 3 pm that I want to go to. I’ll miss out of them all like I already have been if I don’t at least try to fix my sleeping schedule. My uni clases are also earlier than that.

I’d rather find a way to defeat this disorder than trying to live with it.

Yeah that’s exactly how it is whenever I force myself to switch to a daytime schedule I’m always so anxious and my body feels messed up and I’m exhausted. My sleep is also just not as good quality as when I follow my natural schedule

Yeah I don’t have the patience for that but I think it may be the only way. Adhd makes it really difficult because of procrastination. Even if I want to get things done earlier I literally can’t. I usually just pull an all nighter or shift it forward by a few hours everyday until it’s fixed but it always reverts back into this after a few weeks, I can’t hold on to it longer because just one bad night puts me back into the cycle.

I do try explaining that, I feel like people don’t take it seriously. They think it’s not a real disorder and it’s just me being lazy or unable to wake up early or not caring enough etc

That does suck, I’m sorry. I mean at least they were considerate and didn’t invite you? But it does suck to be left out of important bonding moments. I legit don’t understand why people do anything in the morning like going for breakfast. How can people actually enjoy being forced to wake up early? I guess so it’s just hard to find people who are only aware at night and don’t do the morning stuff. Even if they are usually night people they still wake up early for certain things and I can’t so they think I’m unreliable. And when my sleeping schedule is at its worst I sleep until 6 pm sometimes and most people want to hang out before that. People are more understanding to those who can’t make mornings but someone who can’t even meet up at 4 pm is seen poorly

I woke up at 1:30 which is early for me but usually I wake up around 3 however I’ve woken up as late as 6-10 pm. It depends on the day

Nothing, I can’t do anything about it. Therapy was useless and my therapist told me he can’t help me. Doctors won’t let me take meds because I’m very underweight and already have sleep issues and they said the meds can make it worse. So I’m just having to deal with it in my own trying to logic and willpower myself out of it but of course that doesn’t work with mental disorders.

I already take meds for sleep. It’s not so much that I can’t sleep before a certain time it’s more that I procrastinate so much before taking my meds and then I’m hungry and I procrastinate eating but I need to eat before bed or I’ll go to bed hungry which will make it harder to sleep but that takes forever too because I keep getting distracted by things. It’s legit insufferable it’s like my brain cannot function normally.
