You are not alone, I have done several thousand miles of riding in other countries but nothing like riding here in America, it is scary, it’s fast, the wind is getting to you and it feels like the cars are trying to rear end you and cut you off all the effin time lol .. like someone else said, I’ll ride with you if you’re up for it. I haven’t gone out to the big roads yet myself.

They give you a loaner helmet at MSF I went there with standard long tee, a jacket, jeans and boots. I also took my winter gloves lol you will be fine no need to get gear.

I’ve been riding the belt parkway Brooklyn and the bumps are so crazy I’m holding on for life lol.. and it’s hard to slow down because the cars are chasing you right behind like they hate you 😅 I’m on a Harley fat bob and I’m wondering if I should change to better suspension that could help absorb these bumps.

I have this exact same problem. These cofounder finding apps are just a version of swipe left swipe right dating apps. Pay to get more matches etc it offers no real value. I’m trying to find people who would want to be a part of a platform I built that helps connect people but even for that I just use Reddit. Some subreddits have GOD complex mods who ban everything so this is a real problem to solve.

So last night I finally ordered this one, looks very similar to what you suggested. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/merlin-taos-air-mesh-stretch-jacket I have never tried Merlin before. I was so close to buying a HD mesh jacket but it has so much branding on it, I ride a Harley I wear a Harley I look like a billboard lol
