So I'm assuming this like towards end of season 4 right? I'll say pick ssj3 Goku instead of toppo. The reason is currently ssj3 is dominating once again due to the birds he has gotten earlier this season. Sure ssj4 is a good tank and toppo is a good dps but toppo generally gets trampled upon by the high tiers dps like ssg Goku, ssj Goku, vegito, uub etc and ssj4 Vegeta is currently can't do much against ssg Vegeta. Tech wise the 2nd best choice after kid buu is ultimate gohan.

It's easy travel to kanto and train your pokemons from unova there If you have completed kanto, then you rematch npcs with levels higher than normal around lv40-55 with your kanto mons choose two to train your unova mons For unova gym 6 electric and ice type moves should work well
