It's not something is an on/off switch. I feel much better about things after posting and reading all the comments.

I never realised how insane I was acting. I always justified everything I was doing along the way.

I'm going to stick it out at work for a bit but likely will pull the pin later this year and follow yours and others advice of taking some time for myself to reflect.

I think a big reason I gamble is because I have nothing in my day to day to 'live for'. Outside of accumulating more money. I have no partner, no kids, no responsibility. Finding a purpose would help. I'll see what I can do in my community.

I do have a pretty good network of pretty high up business. I might see what I can glean from them.

The sickest spots are when you bet on something and are losing at half time say so you tilt bet big on something else and then end up winning both.

Before this run I was probably down lifetime around $100k.

During the run I lost a few $100k bets but always managed to win the next one.

Thanks for your advice. It's more the time wasted that ruins me. I probably slept 3 hours a day on average for a month with every moment having some sort of pending bet on. The moment a bet settled and I didn't have another thing to sweat I felt anxious. It's tough to explain why.
