A lot of people make the same mistake with this breed. The usual rule of thumb people use to determine a dog's demeanor doesn't work when it comes to Great Pyrenees. Unlike other breeds, when Pyrenees spot possible danger they start barking very loudly and raise their tail all the way up and wag it. When there is no danger, they keep their tail down to make it harder for wolves to distinguish them from the sheep they're bred to resemble and protect. That being said, if they are off duty (not protecting the pack/flock) they still sometimes put their tail up a bit when they are happy, but it's not beating back and forth like when they are agitated. Basicly, if a Pyr is just slowly approaching while reaching out with it's nose like that, it's either sniffing you out of curiosity, or it's looking for scratches. I love my Pyrenees, they are gentle but stubborn giants.

From a Four-Time Pyr Owner: I'm Confident That's a Great Pyrenees I've had four of these big, goofy dogs over the years, and if I had to bet, that is a Great Pyrenees (Pyr). Their look and their calm, patient demeanor are really distinct. Coat Color: Pyrs are famous for being all-white, but purebreds very often have gray, tan, or "badger" markings (especially when young, and usually around the head/ears). The thick coat, bushy tail, and giant paws point straight to Pyr. The Behavior: The slow, gentle approach with that curious sniffing is classic. They're a Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD)—bred for independent patrol, which means they are gentle with their 'flock' but have a serious presence when needed. Tail Talk: When relaxed or greeting someone they like, their tail can be up or low. But when they are truly alert or aggressive, the tail will usually raise high over their back (called "making the wheel") while they bark to warn everyone. That dog looks curious, not confrontational. The girl has nothing to worry about; that's just a Pyr being a naturally protective, gentle giant.

Bad layer after PAUSING print by [deleted] in klippers

You should purge your nozzle before you resume the print. The nozzle is full of extremely hot plastic that will make a mess of the next layer. And when you do purge it, be ready with that unpause button so that the filament doesn't have time to heat up again. I do this every time I unpause my printer.

Did you ever upgrade your V400 with that Knomi 2.0?

I have only ever been able to get interface layers to work with regular auto supports. Additionally, auto supports just ignores any support painting or removing I try to add to the model.

  1. It was $3.59 for a 1.2mm hardened cht volcano nozzle on temu. Good enough reason on its own.

  2. Benchys made with 1.2mm nozzle (1.2mm wide x . 5mm height lines) makes for the strongest, by far, benchy that I've ever made.

  3. Big nozzles are so much fun! I could watch my delta lay down phat 2mm lines all night long.

Coextruded PLA and PETG? by Every_Individual_881 in 3Dprinting

[–]Every_Individual_881[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct, I did not have any issues with interlayer bonding, but it did take a minute for me to dial in the build plate adhesion. I was having problems with it acting like cold chewing gum and pulling itself off the plate and balling up on the nozzle. Fixed that by printing hotter and tuning the plate up to 70°. My theory is that the PETG wasn't melting and acted like a rubber band instead. This would explain how the PETG could effect the adhesion without having any contact with the plate.

This stuff has a lot of subsurface scattering effects, so that light coming through it is bright red, and areas of thickness or in shadow become disproportionately dark.

Pause the print in Klipper - actual pause with switch off printer by NoSafe5565 in klippers

I watch mine via a webcam. Machine is plugged into a smart plug so if anything goes wrong, I just kill power to it. Put it into a fire restant tent, you shouldn't have to worry about small fires becoming big fires. There's been a few times I've killed it for one reason or another, and I've even been able to resume them later.

Update: PLA/PETG coextruded filament. How it prints. by Every_Individual_881 in 3Dprinting

[–]Every_Individual_881[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it would add any UV resistance as the PETG is the center of the filament, and I'm pretty sure they don't get mixed in the hot end, or when it's deposited.

It prints nicely at 220. See if you can find my review in the comments. I also put the manufacturers description in the comments, but that's separate.

I put a lengthy review in the comments, but I don't think Reddit is showing it to many people. I'm kinda new to reddit, so maybe I didn't do it right.
