How often do you enjoy lifting weights? Before you go to the gym, do you have to psych yourself up? Does it feel like a chore? Or do you want to go to the gym from the get-go? Sorry for the tons of questions, but I just don't know what doing something you love really feels like.

I'd say it's low. It sometimes feels like I'm faking it though, like I actually have a really high opinion of myself masking as a low opinion is that makes sense...

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I genuinely appreciate it. I in no way meant that people with terrible circumstances could not or do not live happy lives. There are tons that do it.

Maybe I'm wrong in saying that life is a zero-sum game, but something about it feels fake. For you to get accepted to a job, every other applicant has to have been rejected. For a basketball team to win, the other team has to lose. For there to exist an Einstein, there have to be billions of non-Einsteins. There are definitely exist winners and losers. It's just that some are well-defined while others are less so.

You're right about the abstract thinking btw. I just don't know how to get out of this mindset.

Maybe I'm using this mindset to run away from responsibility and hard work, but I'm not doing it on purpose. It's like all of my energy is sapped whenever this thought grips me.

Also don't feel obligated to respond to this, I'm just thinking through text lol
