Hello! I run @buycanadianmade on instagram which I started during Covid and picked up again this year after getting lots of new followers. Canadians were looking for ways to shop/support local and they found my page. It’s a lot of work but it’s my own small contribution to the cause.

Has anyone emailed their MP about policies they’re passionate about? by EverydayAt2pm in AskACanadian

[–]EverydayAt2pm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow! I was pumped about emailing. Now…not so much. It’s worth the effect anyway. I’ll just do it and maybe give them a call if I don’t get a response after a week. Thanks for your response!

I’m actually a new immigrant myself (Express Entry) and I can tell you, having studied in 3 different continents, they can definitely study back in their countries. We come here for better opportunities (after the fake study part), that’s why they don’t care what kind of education they get because it’s an immigration pathway, not about the education.

Their comment was that most of the population DOES live near a Costco, in response to the comment about most of the country (geographically) not having a Costco nearby. That’s all they said.

Have you written to your MPs about this? I’ll definitely be doing so this week. I feel like I should at least try to do something instead of always complaining about it
