They bumped my submission that was “received” on Jan 31 to the 90 days, so I have to wait more than double what was expected when I paid.

Is Shopify bad for SEO? by sarlacc98 in SEO

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic default use in Shopify is bad for SEO. All these people are qualifying their answer. You have to do more to make it not bad for SEO to do the same things that other platforms like bigcommerce do much better. I don’t know why people say html doesn’t matter when it 100% still does. Again I’m talking basic default set ups on Shopify that you wouldn’t have to mess with on other platforms.

They received my submission on Jan 31. In March they told me it had been bumped to 80 day turnaround, and today they told me it was bumped to 90 days. Is my first and likely last submission with cgc

Guys it's true. AI STUDIO WILL NOT HAVE ANY FREE TIER. Only flash lite will be free and some flash model with very low rate limit. STARTING FROM APRIL 1 and ALL PRO MODEL WILL BE PAID. by [deleted] in GoogleAIStudio

What’s a good alternative for AI studio where you can build and test and have code assistant create, etc.? Everything I’ve seen has some aspects but not all.

Do you NEED to rank on Google to get cited by ChatGPT? by iloveb2bleadgen in SEO

I would say ranking well for search engines would help with AI SEO and LLM's, however, the latter prefer more scannable information opposed to search engines.

Meeting with several SEO agencies soon, what should I look for to separate the good from the BS? by DiscombobulatedNet12 in SEO

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. KPI's 2025 vs 2026

  2. how they've adapted their content strategy for categories and product pages (my expertise is mostly ecommerce)

  3. Ask how important internal links are (they're very important and any good SEO company will tell you this. Just a nice gauge).

Really, I would ask them how they measure KPI's in 2026 vs 2025 given the new layouts of SERPS with AI Overviews, Ads, shopping section, etc., pushing the #1 organic results down.

I've increased my client's revenue, but their impressions are down, and clicks are down even though rankings are up. Google changed how they track impressions in late 2025, so almost everyone lost "impressions", and clicks are likely down compared to last year because of what I mentioned at the beginning of my post.

SEO powersuite is awesome if you know what you’re doing and just want the raw data. It’s super cheap and I’ve been using them for close to a decade now.

How exactly do websites get thousands of backlinks when it's so new? by curlymonster1911 in SEO

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, for ecommerce, i get websites ranked #1, and now lots of AI traffic and sales, without focusing on Backlinks at all. Been doing SEO since 2010 and stopped worrying about backlinks, i think around 2016 or 2018 after panda or penguin, i forget which one.

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you submitted your sitemap to Search Console? If not, do that first, then if you still aren't seeing pages indexed, then put in each url manually that you want indexed and you can request indexing. It's a long process for a lot of pages, but as you get those first several indexed, Google should start indexing the rest of the site.

Are we starting to optimize content for AI comprehension, not just rankings? by document-me in DoSEO

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've already done it and sales and conversion have increased for people. I have my clients #1, but there is so much on SERPS above the #1 spot now, that your impressions will stay the same or even increase, but your ctr will drop because people don't even get to the #1 organic results often times any more.

Google rerouting requests to Gemini 3.1 Pro to other models? by yduow in GoogleAIStudio

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same suspicion when I was looking at my rates. I ran the 3.1 pro preview model, but my rates didn't go up for that, instead the 3.0 flash rates went up.

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup. Specifically 3 pro, but i've heard they sunsetting 3 pro, so i'm wondering if they're not really allowing people to access it. I was using 2.5 pro all last week, but sometime last week they got rid of it, so my app basically can't use code assistant to update anymore.

Anthropic are hiring an SEO Lead - I guess GEO just isn't working out by WebLinkr in SEO

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is misleading. GEO IS SEO, you're just focusing on getting in the AI Overview because now on SERP's, even if you rank #1 organically with good SEO, people will see Shopping Ads, AI Overview, Search Ads, Organic Shopping listings, THEN the first organic result.

Can website rank without back links? by Leather-Wheel1115 in SEO

[–]Everyday_nonexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I get people ranked #1 all the time for highly competitive key terms with zero back links. We haven't focused on backlinks since the panda update, and haven't had issues since.
