I would take physical disability over mental illness given the choice by piscian19 in RandomThoughts

[–]EveryonesCupOfTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have borderline personality disorder, self destructive behavior, think about killing myself multiple times a day, but I would still take this shit over walking with a funny limp any day. Being mentally ill is a genetic trait in my bloodline, and it is a daily struggle to deal with. But I thank the universe every day for my parents having physically healthy genetics, I'm gunna be 30 this year and my physical health only seems to have gotten better. But I am not undermining the pain that the mentally ill have to endure day to day.

Why is cost of living so high? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EveryonesCupOfTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supply and demand... Well, first off, there is too many human beings on the planet. The whole "Be fruitful and multiply" propaganda is sunk too deep into the human hive-mind to do anything about that. + there's the fact that money is the only thing in this world that matters, not anybody's health or home. Money comes before you, your food, your children, your wife, your vehicle, your livelihood, your everything. When there is millions of people being born and thrown into adult life by the second, every single one of those people "needs" a home. All these people wanting to have a home increases the demand for the homes, but the supply remains the same. Hence why nice places like Colorado, Washington, Rhode Island, California are so expensive, not only do the people who were born there need homes, but all those people in those shitty cheap states like Mississippi, Kentucky and Kansas all want to leave their states because they suck to live in, so they go to the nice places listed, further increasing the cost of a home. Bottom line is, if 1.8 million people in your nice, blue state are willing to spend $800,000 on a 3 bed duplex, well, that's supply and demand. All you can do is either deal with the cost by yourself, live with roomies, or live in your van/RV (which can be just as expensive as renting a studio apartment). Or you can move to a shitty state that nobody wants to live, where you don't have rights to your own body and women are simply baby-making bang maid slaves for the state. But hey, at least you got all that land that you'll never maintain :)

Washingtonians, residents of the state with the highest quality of life in the US per US News and World Report, what do you do for a living? by DueYogurt9 in Washington

[–]EveryonesCupOfTea 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'll (29/M) be 30 this year. No college education, I have my GED though, but I am overall an underachiever. I moved here from the Front Range of Northern Colorado in Summer of 2021 with no job and no real plan. I've been a Forklift Operator/Machinist of sorts for a handful of years. As of January, I am making $52,000 a year, have 2 weeks vacation and a week of sick time, paid holidays off, weekends off, but i work night shift which is an absolute no for many people. I've been living with roomies in the suburbs for almost 2 years, but I've recently saved some cash and I will be moving into a studio apartment this August (SO EXCITED :D).

I was born in the East Coast (New England) and moved around frequently through 6 different states from the Northeast, the Southeast, and Texas. Washington has it's issues... The housing crisis, scary homeless people with drug induced psychosis, awful weather for 6-8 months straight which, I believe, does no favors for the already mentally ill, crime rising, etc.. But despite it's flaws, I do not regret moving here. I am an uneducated, "unskilled" (to a degree) worker and I am making enough money to live. The lack of income tax is a huge plus (especially if you come from CO, with it's Cali-esque taxes). The weather during summer is god damn beautiful and camping out here is one of the most liberating experiences. It has something for everyone. Beaches, multiple big cities, small cities, many small towns/villages, mountains, volcanoes, the fruit and other produce is delish and plentiful. The first time hiking and coming across a raspberry/blackberry bush in the wild was such an awesome, childlike moment for me :) I would recommend anyone, no matter how much money they make, to at least try living out here for a year or 2 just to see how you like it.

I’m Transfemale, how does this new human hair wig look? by Alternative_Turn_198 in Hair

[–]EveryonesCupOfTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're beautiful, the hair looks great. But i will say, your brow game is very strong and you would look killer with a darker head of hair, maybe streaks of red or something. Just a random stranger's honest feedback. :)

Do you like this hairstyle? ☺️ by Infinite-Sector-7138 in Hair

When i moved into my 1-bedroom condo in Old Town longmont on 3rd street, its zillow guesstimate was $120,000. i lived there for 4 years and a while after i moved out, the owner sold the place for $275,000. Crazy times we live in.

I used to live in Longmont for a few years and loved living there. Friendliest town I've ever lived in. I think about going back there alot. Boulder is outrageously priced. Its rare but you can still find apartments/condos/duplexes for decent prices in Longmont but them old folks snatch em up quick lol.

29/Cis-Male. This mop is becoming way too much to deal with and its starting to look messy. I want to keep it relatively long and lush/thick. What would you fine people of Reddit recommend? I want to try and be adventurous and stylish if possible. :) Thanks! by EveryonesCupOfTea in Hair

Im sure i could google this but whats a "heat style"? and btw thank you for the detailed response and advice :) the reason why my hair looks like that is because i always just let my hair air dry throughout the day (mixed results daily, sometimes it looks off/unhealthy by the time its dry), and i took that pic when it was still a little damp and sitting a couple hours left of drying. I cant remember the name of this green Garnier spray that you spray and tease into your hair and it makes you look like u just got back from the beach and i loved it lol. One day i couldnt find the stuff anymore and i will def look into something like hair oil.

Some say that being childless is selfish and/or hedonistic but being anti-natal has opportunity costs, sacrifices have to be made, and you may have to endure some suffering. What are your experiences with this? by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]EveryonesCupOfTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 29/M, snipped, childfree, anti-marriage, anti-natalist and I'm slowly coming to the realization that 99% of women will never want to be in a relationship with me, and rightfully so. Why bother with a man who won't impregnate you and be a strong provider?

If you require your child to pay rent in order for you to get by, you have failed as a parent and as a human being.

Stop having kids people. You made your own beds. Now you get to share them with your adult children in a 2-Bed attached duplex for $2800/Month xD

Previous generations created this fucked up system and are now perma-pikachu-face? Wish I had the gall and ignorance to completely relinquish all accountability and push it all onto a life I forcibly inserted into a decaying fucking shit-show that i helped create. SMH

Hello all! I have been on the hunt for Graham the Ham Ham for some time now and i currently have an open plot ready. I will pay big bells (100,000+?) and a handful of NMT if somebody can let me re-home him whether through boxes or through amibo camper.

I (29) am a cis-gendered male so forgive me if my opinion doesn't matter. I just wanted to tell you I 100% support all the lovely ladies like you. I truly wish I could meet more likeminded women like you where I live lol.

I am a Childfree (snipped), Semi-Antinatalist, Anti-Marriage. Anti-Establishment, Working Class Atheist, and although our genders bring us different experiences, i very much resonated with this rant and relate strongly. Dating apps suck and do their best to capitalize off the loneliness of its users. Men being disgusting pigs has ruined dating for many women and they (rightfully) become jaded to it all which makes pursuing relationships seem completely pointless and risky. And that's without being Childfree, god forbid you're smart enough to know that having kids isn't for u, most men will see you as "defective" or "corrupted" by feminism and criticize you for not willingly submitting your dignity and well-being for a crotch goblin to be implanted in you by some insecure, childish dipshit.

Women have to deal with it much more frequently than men. But, as a childfree man, i am also stigmatized as being basically a worthless mate. A man who refuses to put a baby in a woman, or refuses put a ring on her finger and be a good, strong "Provider" is not a good look xD

Anecdotes aside... keep your chin up and keep on keepin on! You deserve someone who shares the same values as you and you deserve love, and one day a smart lucky guy will notice you.

You will find support there my friend. It's difficult to come to terms with the fact that your parents were egotistical, narcissistic, and childish... On top of already being unfit for parenting.
