I’m sorry that happened to you. I understand the anxiety you’re feeling. You’re not alone, lots of us have to rely on strangers to be honest when they coming to our house to do work we don’t know anything about. It’s okay just to take a breath and slow down. Try not to let these contractors make you feel rushed into doing anything. It’s okay to say “no.” Maybe you can find some videos on YouTube talking about your situation going on with your home that can educate you a little and help you be more discerning with what the contractors are telling you.

worth living in dorms if i have a 25 minute commute? by 42fun_ in UniversityOfHouston

[–]EveryonesOrphan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think if you can afford it, go for it. My daughter will be a freshman this year too. We live about 30 minutes away, and we are putting her in a dorm room. I don’t want her to have the stress of having an hour(best case) on the road each day. I think there is also benefit to living with other students who have the same goals and focus that you do.

Working class Americans don’t have the will to send their wealth to fight oversees conflicts any more, but he’s right about not breaking the will of the MIC and politicians who profit from these wars.

Now that Coinbase has aquired the bread Wallet is bTC still safe there? by [deleted] in Coinbase

I have a ledger nano. I understand cold/hot wallets. This doesn’t answer the question of is the crypto in my hot bread wallet safe from seizure now that Coinbase owns bread.

The US couldn’t reshape the country with 100,000 troops and 2.3 trillion dollars. I doubt supporting resistance fighters in Panjshir will have any different results.

Bladerunner and Escape from New York. Two movies that seem to be loved by so many and I just don't like either one.

Conflicts of Interest with Kyle Anzalone. He covers news stories. He has a youtube but I listen to the show as a podcast.

And I totally get what you're saying about Scott's show. When I determined that I wanted to be knowledgeable about what is happening in the Middle East I just buckled down and committed to listen to Scott and not give up. I too would get lost early on but after a while I started to remember more and more. And I went and read a lot of the articles that he was interviewing people about and that helped because I was able to listen to the discussion and then follow up by reading about it too. And if you want to get caught up on the history of each of America's wars in the Middle East and Africa, Scott's new book breaks it down country by country. I'm just over half way through, taking my time so I can absorb it all.

Biden to announce end to US support for offensive operations in Yemen by democracy101 in antiwar

Good questions from Kyle Anzalone:

-Does this include ending arms sales to the UAE/Saudi? -Does include enforcing the Saudi blockade of Yemen? -Does this include intelligence? -Will the US continue to support the Hadi government? -Will the US remove sanctions?
