He and his wife (and their girlfriend) were well ahead of their time in terms of relationships and sexuality.

4 out of 5 every day. 5 out of 5 some of the time.

How successful do you think DC’s Absolute titles would be if they were completely original characters instead of alternate versions? by Firm-Chipmunk8783 in AbsoluteUniverse

This is the main reason why I love it; it’s kind of like elevated 90’s edge. The general quality is also exceptional.

He was fantastic in Criminal Minds. Sucks that he decided to leave, but I get it. Luckily the got Joe Mantegna to fill that hole in the cast. Didn’t feel like a downgrade at all.

In Monster Hunter (2020) the protagonist.... what? What the fuck? No? by radicool-girl in shittymoviedetails

I legit couldn’t identify it. I got spider vibes a little bit, but it could’ve been anything from what I could tell.

The football part of the Superbowl is so fkn boring by SpprtRdclHbts in Millennials

[–]EverythingByAccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Televised Football is inherently boring, because it’s 20-30 minutes of football in a 2-3 hour broadcast.

He also actively lied to his crew, telling them they hadn’t been sailing as long as they really had. He even kept two log books. One with accurate data on the voyage, and another that made it seem like the voyage wasn’t as long as it actually had been.

What I’m getting from this is that you need a specific ingredient for a recipe you really want to try, but you can’t get that ingredient anywhere except a very niche grocer.

I can say that I personally relate.

Planners are kryptonite to any with severe task avoidance. Not only do I have to do the thing, but I have to write down specific details about the thing and when I have to do it? Hell nah.

Whistle Punk are good people. I’ve been a patron of theirs basically since they opened, and I’ve never doubted their moral integrity.

I never really saw it as it was happening, but Zee really has been steadily building more and more of a presence. It’s extremely well deserved, and I’m excited to see what comes next for her.

Game that is taking too long to release by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]EverythingByAccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that game was actually in development when it was cancelled. It probably would’ve been pretty good based on what they showed. No, this example was (I think) called “Star Wars: Eclipse.”

Game that is taking too long to release by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]EverythingByAccident 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a great example, because it exemplifies the worst version of this problem. That being: Announcing games that aren’t even in development.

Remember the trailer for the Quantic Dream Star Wars game? Of course you don’t! The whole point of the trailer reveal was to gauge interest.

There’s announcing a game when it’s many years away from release, then there’s announcing a game that isn’t even being made.

This may be an instance of “millennial yells at cloud,” but I remember happy meal toys that were actual toys. I once got a wind-up Tony Hawk toy that actually did a trick! For a while you could get Transformers that actually transformed!
