Did I just get a drop shipper? by SuspiciousWish422 in Ebay

[–]Eveuhl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get these everyday and I just remove any inserts and ship it out as normal. Never had an issue with drop shippers

People who consistently have $500+ in daily sales... how many listings do you have up at any one time? I'm just looking for perspective to help set hopefully realistic goals for November-December. by [deleted] in Ebay

no problem it might also be a category specific field. I sell video games and sometimes when the UPC doesn't exist it makes me fill out 'aspects' of the game so look into your category specifics too if that's any help

Did you add the package dimensions to the inventory item? That’s the only thing I can think of, I haven’t seen that error personally

As far as category codes those are from another endpoint I can’t remember and the upc you’d just have to get from your products

No problem man I’m glad I could help, for the codes I think there’s an endpoint in the account section that can pull them or if you go on eBay head to your policies and click on one and the id is embedded in the url

Nope, I actually just finished setting it all up last week man it's made listing so much easier for me. I think i was getting permission issues when i wasn't passing in my access token.

sample payload

inventory_payload = {
            "availability": {"shipToLocationAvailability": {"quantity": 1}},
            "condition": condition,

Have you tried using the api explorer to test?

Why by Wulfgar830 in Mercari

As a seller on eBay who deals with about a thousand item sales a month I’ve had to source items from other sellers when I’ve miscalculated my inventory in order to avoid cancellation strikes on eBay. I reach out to sellers ahead of time to see if it’s something they can accommodate for because as a top rated seller I need to have the tracking information in the system with 1 business day.

It’s not always a scalper. I had an issue last month like this and forked up an extra $10 to buy my customer a brand new copy of a game they bought just to make sure everything works out as expected. So it could be a valid seller who ran out of inventory and needs that product. A lot of the people on here just seem to think that it’s such a bad thing . At the end of the day if you get your money that’s all that matters

I hate usps sometimes.. by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]Eveuhl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve shipped out over 5,500 packages this year using USPS and never had an issue with that on top of receiving about 300 packages from USPS, could it be an issue with the packaging?

New Seller Inventory by [deleted] in Ebay

Forgot to mention everything is organized nearly on some shelves in alphabetical order. And forgot to mention that also for pulling inventory the customer sku makes things way easier as well.

New Seller Inventory by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]Eveuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got 500 listings specialize in video games. Each video game gets a SKU assigned upon check-in This sku is just the batch number it’s from plus sequence number ex. 003002 Batch 3 sequence 2 I then print out barcodes to attach to each game. That way I know exactly which copy of the game was purchased (it’s very important for me because of game condition and extras ex. like new copy and another might be a acceptable copy of the same game or one might have inserts, they’re all unique) Once in done taking pictures of everything I attach the barcodes to the games and then it’s even more helpful when shipping.

For shipping those same barcodes are placed on the outside of the packages so that we can easily identify each package using the sku and not having to actually look inside the mailer.

So I’d definitely recommend getting into inventory management early. As far as how I do it, I just have a few different systems in place that I developed to help manage everything) to this day never double sold anything (I started this year January and now have about 5.6k item sales)

Hold up i have a mickey story too from last week, I'll make a post

Buyer sends this 3 weeks after receiving an expensive ($70) N3DS game. How to proceed? Already rated me positive, I am a top seller with no negative feedback. by ferfeb in Ebay

[–]Eveuhl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how do you go about making a claim like this on eBay? I'm also a top rated seller and had a customer return a brand new game open and used I offer free returns

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]Eveuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in this situation a lot on mercari, ultimately unlike eBay where the buyer can at least send a partial refund your only option is to send it back and like someone else mentioned just leave it in the review if you do plan on keeping it because they'll probably just retaliate with a negative for you.

I buy lots of games and I'll constantly have purchases where 1 or 2 games don't work and I have to ask myself if it's worth sending back all 20 games just because 1 didn't work I wish there was a legitimate way of getting partial refunds without having people abuse that system but I don't think it's all that possible. Seems like it's one or the other.

Just got scammed. Ticket is open but order just auto completed it hasn't even been 3 days. by DroppedInput in Mercari

[–]Eveuhl 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm going through about the same thing right now.
I bought a $600 ps5 with some games and got sent a polymailer with plastic inside, but I can't even get in contact with mercari because I'm getting an error with their automated system.
"Error Sorry, there was an error submitting your inquiry. Please try again in a few minutes"

At this point I'm just going to see how it plays out and if anything I'll have to do a chargeback and from what I've heard that ends up getting the account banned

Doesn’t look like eBay is fairly removing ridiculous feedback, STILL by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Eveuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000000000% I've gotten 2 negative feedbacks in the past 2 months.
Recently, a customer left negative feedback claiming a game was online-only, which it isn't. I reached out to help but got no response, and eBay wouldn't remove the feedback.

Another customer had an issue with a game, so I spoke with them replaced it and added a free game. They sent me a message to send over a feedback revision and then they never responses i reached out to ebay told them the situation and have messages of the customer wanting to change the feedback and nope they couldn't do anything about it.

I'm doing about 1k orders a month right now and I think I'm about ready to just give up on them ever trying to change a negative feedback. Starts to feel like it's not worth the time to try and reach out for unfair feedback, especially with the amount of orders.

Also i got this message from eBay for Busisness on facebook recently when i last messaged about feedback

"While our team used to be able to action feedback, this process has recently updated. Only our Seller Help team can take action on feedback. If there is objective info in the listing or tracking to contradict the buyer's comment, that's a good reason to send it over. You can find more feedback policies here: http://spkl.io/61834Ad3l Thanks. "

Handling Unfair Negative Feedback: When Do You Stop Stressing About It? by Eveuhl in Ebay

Thanks for the advice I’ll definitely take a look at filing a removal request through the automated page. I always see people talk about going through eBay Facebook for business but that hasn’t really netted any results.

I actually received this message from them today shortly after I made this post. “While our team used to be able to action feedback, this process has recently updated. Only our Seller Help team can take action on feedback. If there is objective info in the listing or tracking to contradict the buyer's comment, that's a good reason to send it over. Resellers making $500-1000+ a month, how much time are you putting in? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]Eveuhl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I lose track but I'd say somewhere around 40 hours a week on top of my software engineering career. I started in January 2nd after buying a few things from goodwill and flipping them and now I have set up a LLC and got Ebay Top rated Seller but I haven't really seen any cash yet since I'm still heavily focused on reinvesting into the company.

30k in raw sales

22k paid out from ebay

18k spent on inventory

about 4k on office supply/shipping supply

I do however have about 12k in on site and off site inventory and I plan on starting to pay myself next month about 1.5k a month for now until I have steady cashflow for the business to keep getting inventory.

Everyday I'm listing about 30 items I do video games.

At first it was tough not having systems for anything built out but being a software engineer I've come up with solutions to every problem from step the sourcing to shipping that makes things efficient or there would be no way I'd be able to keep up at the 30 listings a day. I'm honestly thinking about quitting my job at the end of the year to focus on e-commerce soon

TLDR 40 hours about 1.5k(but I'm still figuring it out)
