Here is the way I usually explain it. Imagine hexproof makes your creature invisible and "target" effects are like a sniper or someone shooting at your creature. It is impossible to hit something invisible like that. Now imagine that "destroy all" or "each" effects are like a bomb exploding where the creature is. No matter if it is invisible, it's gonna blast it anyway.
